Well more good news another young player signed on - if only Ashley Young would complete the set !

Off in the summer, or so the rumour goes.

Is that Ashley Young wants to move to Arsenal or Man United or is it Ashley Young is moving to Arsenal or Man United?

If it's the first he might be in for a shock.

And as for the French idiot I'm willing to see where he will get us and to give him an actual chance before giving up the fight.

ah yes, wondered when you'd be back. You were quite vociferous in your criticism of Houllier when he was appointed and I bet you couldn't be more pleased right now. Even though you said you'd give him a chance based on his early press conferences. A couple of months in and we're not pulling up trees but no need to look at what he might be working on and working with. Must feel pretty good.

Of all the kids we've been playing, he's the one I've been least convinced by. But I thought he did very well on Wednesday. But doesn't seem to have the class of Bannan, Albrighton, Delph or Clark. But I'd play him on Monday no question.

He has the face of a northern coal miner - makes sense, didn't realise he was from Middlesbrough.

Good on you Hogg, showing signs of growing confidence.

not a huge fan of hogg, i think he is very limited and dont think he has a long term future with us, but if it gets him pumped for the moment, then fair play...

he is another body for the moment, and boy do we need those...

The bits I've seen of Hogg I think he's done OK.

Versus Rapid Vienna over there, Man U at home and B-lose away.

He's not flash, doesn't have the same tricks as Albrighton or Bannan but it's a team game and the things he does well, ie keeping the ball moving and getting a foot in can be equally as useful to any side.

Passes better than Reo-Coker and is far more visible and work-hungry than the ginger loafer. I can see Hogg developing into an Ian Taylor like player.
