I think that was the same night as a player in another game scored 71 on his own.

Defense optional in the NBA at the moment

My late friend Red would have loved this incredible win by his almer mater, Fairly Dickinson University

FDU are the 298th ranked college basketball team and only qualified for the NCAA tournament because the winners of their league were ineligible

The Boston Celtics win their 18th championship, first since 2008, as they beat the Dallas Mavericks in five games.

I'm not a big Basketball watcher, but any Boston win is a good thing :)

I may even pick up a souvenir t-shirt when I'm there in September

Any Boston win is a good thing, unless it's NFL or baseball.

Didn't realise they were already into the fifth game of the finals. I seem to recall reading beforehand, that Dallas were tipped to win it.

I think the West is generally more highly rated but the Celtics had the best regular season by a fair distance.

The NBA finals are between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers. A first  NBA championship awaits in either location. The Thunder took over the Seattle Supersonics' franchise and there is some controversy over ownership of the franchise history. The Pacers won the ABA three times but no championships since the merger in 1976.

Thunder are heavy favourites and are being tipped as the next dynasty.

That's just crackers isn't it, a team upping sticks and moving 2000 miles away.

I’m at the Golden State Valkyries v Connecticut Sun WNBA game in San Francisco.

My first live basketball since I saw the Harlem Globetrotters v Washington Generals at Gloucester Leisure Centre in the 1970s.

Highlight so far is one of the CS players fooling the Refs with a blatant dive/flop which even Premier League players would have been embarrassed about :)

Who won when you saw the Globetrotters?

Oklahoma City Thunder win the NBA Championship, beating the Indiana Pacers 4-3 in the Finals.
