Personally, I think this just shows how unfit Villa really were. The amount of injuries that have been sustained through training really shows that this new, proper regime is taking their toll.
Or maybe the opposite - whatever is happening now could be the problem.
Something's not right though.
But this does force some potentially exciting changes, and might be what's needed to get to fully see some of the younger lads...

Is Marlon on loan or sold?
Technically neither - his contract ran out, Villa decided not to renew it, so he was released, and later joined Blackpool on a 2 year deal

Houllier obviously doesn't rate Fonz - he didn't even get a look in in the league cup - so maybe he's just not doing it in training.  Let's hope he proves Ged wrong tomorrow, or at least gives him something to think about.

Ring Dion and see if his boots still fit. He's not that old.

Carew and heskey have both been injury prone since joining us- it's not a new thing! I'm wondering if there are any free agents out there who are looking for a club still- we are allowed to sign free agents, and that may be the option we have to take.

I hope the fonz gets a chance but fear we will be going for a 0-0 in our next 3 or games- not geds fault , but I'm sure he will sign at least one striker in January .

This is no great loss.  What happened anyway, did he cack himself at the thought of having to play a full 90 minutes?

I hope they have wrapped the fonz in cotton wool and packed him in a bomb proof box. Wheel it out onto the pitch and release him just before kick off.

Has anybody heard Houllier's press conference today? Did he say anything about the Delfouneso?

Surely he saw that playing ash n Ireland against Burnley didn't work?!
