Lionel Martin worked in the motor trade.
He used to work at Startin's on Orphanage Road, in charge of Motor Parts. I knew him there as I used to have a part time job, after school, washing the cars there. Lovely bloke, very humble. I didn't even know who he was until a few of the mechanics (all noses) told me he used to play for the Villa.

No idea where he is now.
If you track him down, ask him how he managed to scoop the ball over the bar from one yard out against Reading in front of the Witton End.
I'm sure he'd prefer to remind you of this winner, Jon: http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=45329

Brilliant clip there Mark. Wonder if they've got the LCSF 1970.

Am i correct in thinking that it was Keith Bradley who scored the most important goal in Queens Park Rangers history.  Needing to win to gain promotion to the first division for the first time in their history he diverted the ball into his own net for their winning goal. His goal indeed turned out to be the goal that clinched promotion.
