Was Downing good at Middlesborough? I seem to remember thinking he was. Sure, he got injured but he is terrible, isn't he?

Woeful, dire player. We were well ripped off. He never wanted to be a professional footballer, so he has no hunger for the game. You can see that by the way he actually runs away from the ball.

He wanted to play Dancing Queen, and shit songs like that through the night. I really do hope Houllier turfs the little weasel out.

You were saying?

Man you guys are pessimistic buggers.  From the twenty-or-so minutes I have watched, we have been by far the better team.  It's not classic stuff and we're not winning...

Oh yes we are.  Downing diving header.  Ho ho ho.

Was all set to come and rip the piss out of Downing. But...I've now decided he's the best player ever, and as good at heading as Dion Dublin.

Fickle? Us?

Well bugger me sideways. Downing scores with a header just as the new link works. Cheers PWshin.

Can you now slag off Gabby?  And Heskey if he comes on.

The smart thing to do would be to edit this:

Downing looks like an empty shirt at the moment, out left, right or in the centre it just isn't working for him.

Can't help that he' s so chronically one-footed.

Get Ireland on after 60 minutes and put Ash wide left.

Now then:

Gabby's looking a bit quiet, no way in hell will he score tonight...

Got away with a handball shout then. Would have been harsh but have seen them given.
