McAllister was a top class signing by GH at the time and I'm sure he could teach NRC how to pass.

Not so sure about the NRC comment, but GH could do a lot worse than McAllister - he knows how to play the game.

I'd welcome Southgate back.  I think a few years tutelage under Ged would be ideal for him. 

I don't think he did too bad a job at Middlesboro, if anything he just had bad timing, joining just after the big spending days.  I'd also suggest his record stands up against Strachan's (...who's record at Celtic was comparable with...).

He clearly has the ambition and wants to get to the top.  With Ged providing contacts etc it could work nicely. 

I'd throw Grayson and Cowan's names in there too.

Gary McAllister is the latest name linked. I'd be quite happy with that, seems to be a thoughtful and intelligent man and obviously knows Houllier well.

Did pretty well in his brief sprint at Coventry.

I'm sure he'd go the extra 100 yards for us.
