Yeah, Walker and Naughton looked the business at Sheffield. Surprised we weren't in for either under the previous manager then.
Attacking full backs were never really his bag though, were they? :)

Sturridge has not kicked on though from what I have seen of him. Samba for Collins and a bit of cash would be fine by me. I love Collins as a player at times, but he looks so shaky and I think strikers have worked out that if they stick really tight to him he gets himself into trouble a lot of the time.

It might just be me, but Sturridge, like Macheda come over as complete an utter cocks that have achieved next to nothing, but are always bigging themselves up? At least Bendtner's scored some pretty important goals for Arsenal despite acting in a similar way at times.

Building a squad of balance was not in his remit either, if it were we would be well out of the mess we are now, no matter who is in charge. For the money he spend, we are shit through the spine of the side.

Again TV, I would take Bendtner in a heartbeat.

One of the blokes behind me tonight referred to Collins as "the Ginger Leg Swinger". Which was hard to disagree with.

I should have added that I'd do the same at the end of my last post. Bendtner's big, strong and only 22 or something. He needs to play regularly.

I'd still keep Collins as a squad player, would rather give them Davies.

Samba looks a hard cnut so he'll do.

I would hope we can eventually buy walker.  He is going to be a top player and will always go up in value...    A very good player

Blackburn boss Steve Kean is ready to let transfer-seeking Chris Samba go to Aston Villa in a multi-million swap deal involving fellow defender James Collins.
Full story: Daily Mirror

Apparently, Agger wants to leave Liverpool too.
Worth a punt?

Not sure I'd swap Collins for Samba.

Collins was probably the only player who showed real passion last night. Heading out and saving a shot off the line. Would be a terrible mistake. Do not rate Samba that highly .........

Agger would certainly go to a 'bigger' club. He's a good defender. Talks of Arsenal & Juventus.

Anyone else concerned that we arent even being linked with any moves that involve is paying any substantial money??

It's all loans, swaps, trials etc. Randy hasnt spent any money since the start of 09/10. Are we really going to go through our 3rd transfer window without a signing of note?

And if he really has faith in Houllier, he HAS to back it up by giving him money. Not a fan of Houllier, but the only chance he has is by being able to bring in the players he wants.

I'd keep Collins, he's not top drawer, but he also isn't a problem.
