That's an interesting suggestion, Richard, but surely I'd still have the stench of rum in my nostrils if it was 'Robbo', even today.

It does look quite like 'B.Robson' or similar! and the 'To James' bit somehow suggests a native speaker to me....

It also suggests someone who can write, which rules out Robson.

If you look at it after a nice smoke(like me now) it could be Roy Keane. The first letter is a big R with the Y at the bottom of it, the o is there between the  R, 2 lines coming of the back of the Y makes a K and the rest makes the eane............Or am I just too stoned?

You must be on the super skunk, xbiggy, because Keane doesn't know that you're not supposed to shit in the sink, let alone know how to hold a pen properly. Besides, I know I'd never actively seek the autograph of that worthless diddicoy, so unless he carries those cards around with him and foists them upon pissed blokes in Birmingham pubs, I reckon it's unlikely to be him.

By the way, can I have a drag...?

Bosnich still, google his autograph and have a look. Probably changed slightly over the years.

I'm edging closer to the Bosnich camp. But why doesn't it stick in the memory?

Tell me, Jimbo. Did ya ever hear tell of the Birmingham Boys in Brown?

Terrible damage done to the livers and cerebral cortices in Hamburg and (cough) Digbeth.

What, you mean that motley assortment of blagards, ne'erdowells and late-night grouting inspectors, who leave in their wicked wake a trail of busted shopping trolleys, smashed Astra bottles and stretched patience, from the fair port of Kiel, to the old Bartons Arms? No, I didn't. And if I ever did, it was merely in the name of academic research. And drunkenness.

Put a "The" at the start of this thread's title and it would seem like something from the Channel Four programme Banzai.

Betting Ends.
