Tranmere Rovers then and now.....how I enjoyed going to school after the 2nd leg semi in 1994! Took some stick the week before though. Half of them were dirty redscouse anyway who had got fed up with Souness and switched allegiance.....never change your colours

Liverpool and Everton fans were quiet in work today, strange no-one wanted to talk footy......

place of birth - Walsall

current res - Walsall

local team - Walsall

supporter - Wal???? nah Villa

Aren't we Wallsall's Parent club or something?  We always seem to play them pre-season.

I think that is in exchange for them letting us play reserve games there. To my knowledge, we have no agreement with them in terms of loaning players or getting 'first option' on any talent they may produce.

I was born in St Albans, grew up in Ashford in Kent (a bit of a desert for local teams to support), and spent my early days supporting Brighton due to family connections. Still do, but took the gloryhunting option when Villa were doing well under BFR in 1992.

I live in Putney now, and my route to work takes me past Craven Cottage on the other side of the river.

Well I was born in Selly Oak Hospital - so according to t'internet: Small Heath
I grew up in a tiny village near Warwick, so RC Warwick/Coventry - in fact, I still have, somewhere a Coventry rosette which was given to my dad (who supports his boyhood team - which isn't from around here) to give to me by one of his work colleagues, from their FA triumph in '87, clearly at the ripe old age of 9 months I wasn't that stupid.
Now: Leicester.......urgh.

This is really weird I have something in common with Ads

Small Heath and Albyon ...................doesn't bear thinking about does it

Let you into a secret though - my dad and his dad used to watch both Villa and
Bloose on alternate weeks in late 40's early 50's it was fairly common place, or so
I was told

My mother reckoned she named me after the Villa keeper of the day Conn Martin
but the men of the family took me to both grounds until one day, aged about four
and proudly wearing the claret and blue scarf I broadcast to everyone nearby
standing on the Spion Kop that I preferred going to the other football ground  -

By all accounts it caused alot of laughter (how times have changed) but it had
the desired affect - I shudder to think what type of person I would have become

QPR for both.

What happened to the so-called 'richest team in the world'?
