Moyes I could deal with if he brings Arteta and that hateful little c***, Cahill, with him.
Hughes can fuck right off.

He can bring Rodwell. Cahill can go fuck himself.

Nothing wrong with Mac wanting an interview. Newcastle aside he hasn't done too badly. I don't want him to get it, don't think he will but he deserves an interview.

He hasn't done well at all in my opinion. Good against a poor West Ham where Milner ran the show. Shocking selection against Newcastle and humiliation - poor selection and tactics against Rapid and extremely fortunate that Ireland was injured prior to Everton, as without Reo-Coker pluggin the holes in midfield it is likely we'd have got beaten again.

Given the investment Lerner has already committed, there is no way he will allow it to unravel or the club lurch backwards by taking a gamble on an inexperienced manager. He wants to maintain the upwards momentum which means a safe and ambitious pair of hands.

My Everton supporting mate's view on it.

Quote
I’d be amazed if he went there, for all the reasons you state. Plus the fact he’s persuaded Arteta and Rodwell to sign new deals, just don’t see him leaving. Would have to have had a major fallout with Kenwright, although to be fair the rumours are that Rodwell is going to Man U and Pienaar to Spurs. Don’t believe either of them would be sold behind his back though. Didn’t happen with Lescott or Rooney.

The major thing seems to be the shortening of the odds. And Collymore put on his twitter that Villa are after Moyes. But considering he hosts a show on talksport I wouldn’t take any notice of him.

If Kev Mac does get the job then I will be a little angered by the way he has chosen to go about things. He’s had more than enough time now to decide whether or not he wanted the position on a permanent basis or not, and the fact that he knew the transfer deadline was fast approaching should have mean that he decided sooner in the interest of the club.

However, if he does get the job, which now would not surprise me, I will show him my full support and get behind him as much as I can. So good luck Kev Mac. Become a legend!

If K-Mac has to go back to the reserves (and he's done a fantastic job there), I just hope he isn't demotivated by not landing the top job. We've had enough of long faces around the Villa.

No offence to Kevin Mac but I really hope he doesn't get it. He deserves to keep his job managing the reserves but I'm not sure he's cut out to manage the firsts.

I'd be deeply dissappointed if kmac got the job - let's show ambition and get an experienced manager not a reserve coach whose team have been outplayed embarrassingly in the last 4 games!

If not moyes then give jurgen or Sven.

I'd take southgate or curbs over kmac anyday!

Betfair odds -
KMac - 2.5
Sven - 5
Moyes - 14
Hughes - 23

So for those thinking it might be Moyes or hughes, might be worth putting a few quid on it.

Also, Moyes at 8 on PPower.  All this talk of bookies suspending betting seems to be a bit of the mark.

It's pretty fair to say that nobody knows anything except that K Mac has applied. However I think we can make a few assumptions: firstly, it won't be Moyes, that's just madness; secondly, it won't be K Mac unless there really is no candidate who impresses; finally, it won't be Hughes, how would we do that, just casually spend about £6-8m on a manager who's just signed a contract with a new club? Hardly our style.

Agree with what most have said about K Mac, for me he has shown tactical naivety and poor team selection and throw in that he hasn’t really shown any passion and get up and go that he wants the job should see him ruled out of it. The lack of passion for it makes me think that he has been told by Lerner to create a smokescreen for the club whilst they go about there business of finding and hiring the ‘right’ man for the job.

Still wouldn’t mind Sven for a season to steady the ship while we wait for Martin Jol to finish the season with Ajax.

I share all the doubts expressed on here about KMacD and am surprised that he's applied after his experiences over the last 5 games. Now that he has applied, I hope that Randy will give him the courtesy of an interview and then politely tell him that he'd prefer him to continue his excellent work with the reserves.

if that villa_insider is true, he could get the sack if caught so i doubt it is legit

If someone from the villa seen them tweets they would be able to find out who it is.....
