Curtis Davies looked well happy on SSN coming into training.

Luke Young & NRC will also be happy.

Petrov and Cuellar will be crying.

Will Cuellar be crying ? I'd have thought he'd be happy that he might get to play at centre-back now.

He might not get a game there!

Maybe not, but you'd hope the new man doesn't duck the issue of who to drop, 'cos he's a terrible right-back due to his distribution. Opposing teams were actually letting him have the ball unpressured he was so bad - particularly thinking of Man U in the LC Final.

However, he is a good defender, and personally, I'd play him ahead of Collins alongside Dunne, particularly against nippy forwards. Bolton and Stoke might be different...

Sven really needs the most enormous budget to make things work. Plus he must be the only manager apart from MON who'd still play 4-4-2.

you are totally obsessed with the formation thing,  let it go , sometimes its horses for coarses

Sky - No contact forSven 'insists' one of his reps. Basically they are reporting on nothing. Go, they are loving this, trying to create news rather than reporting on it. I like the way they use 'insists' like they are trying to hide soething....

No on Bradley, not good enough tactically in the world cup imo.

Yes on Billic or Jol.

We know nothing about Bob Bradley, Sparky would turn us into a bunch of thugs (not that i can see fulham releasing him).
martin Jol, he didn't win the dutch league with Ajax, was treated harsh by spurs but again didnt do much.
Bilic like bradley and klinsmann is an unknown quantity. We really don't know what they're like, they dont have the managerial experience.
If you want experience and a name then you're looking to the likes of hiddink and rijkaard and would managers like that be interested in a club like aston villa?

Ranieri? what's he upto these days? If I could choose, then I'd go with Hiddink everyday of the week, I realise however theere is no chance of him coming.

Given who is 'gettable' I would go with Jol, Rijkard or Sven in no particular order. Please god don't let Curbishly, Bruce and the like anywhere near our club.

There you have it, why Mark Hughes would be a terrible choice. Fucking Sparky.

I have a feeling we will have a disappointing outcome - Curbishley, Sven or Bob....To be fair, Hiddink would go to Man U, Real, Inter or Barca level. and Moyes is probably waiting for one of the Manchester jobs.  Zola anyone?

Yes on Billic or Jol.
Jol's limitations have been discussed. But i accept there is  a case. i have seen no case for Bilic, nor can  think of one.

1x european cup final
3 x uefa cup finals - 1 win
1 x cup winers cup
1 x super cup
3 x portuguese league titles
1 x portuguese cup
1 x italian league title
4 x italian cups
2 x world cup quarter finals
1 x european championships quarter final

He tends to win cups primarily. The Dutch and Portughese (sp) leagues are like SPL in terms of competition. At Lazio it took him 4 years and a shedload of money to get there....
