Hmmm. Reckon the board could be devious enough to release a name they know will be deeply unpopular, so that when they announce KM, we'll all go "phew, at least it wasn't Curbishley"?

No. That is what is of concern.

Suddenly Sven seems like a great idea... never thought I would think that. I am hoping for Klinsmann now, K Mac & AC are just not what we need in charge of the first team.

I remember a Man Utd fan writing a while ago that we were like Charlton but with a bigger ground, cheeky ******.

To be fair to Curbishly he did very well there before having a bad time at WHU. If we'd just been relegated then I would not be against it but we qualified for Europe FFS.

It doesn't bode well at all

Curbishley would certainly achieve the fucking impossible and unite opinion on here. Three votes of the 518 cast in the poll.

He's the sort of appointment we could have made in (pre Randy) 2006 and, had we appointed him then, we'd have been underwhelmed.

It smacks of unimaginative thinking, desperation and cheapness. What is worrying is that desperation is the least prominent of those three factors.

Should have given that comment some foundation. There are various and serious legal issues here. This cannot be taken lightly. If true.

As I said if Sven and Koeman have said they want the job, whatever you think of them it's ludicrous to think of Curbishley.

I don't want to speak badly of Curbishley because, if true, he wants to manage our football club and that in itself warrants applause.  But, God, no.

Hmmm. Curbishley X Premier League x Champions League and supporters aspirations    = Joke.

Now times that by his history and our ambition. ( no discussion on clubs ambition please).

It does not work.

The cynic in me thinks this way too.

Was the meeting held at Bodymoor Heath or in 'Burminhum?
