Am I the only Villa fan to not totally dislike Arry ?

I can't help but like him, mainly because he's such a pantomime villain.
And left every club he has been at in the right shit.

Except for Bournemouth and West Ham. And Southampton.

So, Portsmouth, ultimately.

Even then, just about every player he signed was sold for a massive profit.

It's well known that players love playing for him.

Crouch was useless at VP, now look at him - just one example.

Granted, he isn't a saint, but he is a football man through and through and that's what I love about him.

Plus, I think he tries to get is teams playing proper football.

I worked Down South for a bit and worked with many Bournemouth and Southampton fans. They were wondering what was happening to money 15 years a go,You have no idea what you are on about.

15 years ago Redknapp was long gone from Bournemouth and even longer away from managing Southampton.

Really? He left Bournemouth in 1992, West Ham in 2001, Portsmouth in 2004, Southampton in 2005 (after less than a year).

Watched this interview and the title thread is total bollocks- redknapp was asked about the players in question and stated clearly that were Aston villa s players and he didn't think villa were interested in selling young whereas milner they couldn't afford.

He was asked about them and answered quite rightly, Im no redknapp fan but the bloke has said sod all wrong here, totally pointless and misleading thread!

I agree this thread is a waste of cyberspace, it should be obvious to anyone with a brain that Spurs cannot afford Milner and Harry was only replying to a question that was based on tabloid rumours

Redknapp really is a myth. You won't find many West Ham fans with a lot to say about him in the positive. He has right royally fecked up Southampton and Portsmouth also.

As for Tottenham - he's a good manager for them. Spend lots of money and get lots of players in. The danger for them is actually what they have got, 4th. He'll be demanding more money to buy more players and will be pushing for more and more - he's even been talking titles.

All that does it raise fans expectancy and gets the crowd on his side and against the board if it doesn't go right as he'll peddle the old - "If I could have got the players I wanted but the board..." he's pushing Tottenham beyond their means. They need a good run in the CL to keep up with him. Or more realistically to go out early and finish 6th or 7th to not allow him to overstretch them. If not they're my next bet for a Prem team looking over their shoulders at the administrator.

Not wth Levy in charge he won't.

He's a football man not a finance man, self confessed.

True - but with Redknapp around it'll be like Rainman meeting Fagin.

I agree with Risso.

The myth is just that, one of leaving every club he's managed on some sort of moonlight flit with a swagbag over his back.
