Hands up who wouldn't be shocked if MON plays 4-4-2 against West Ham.

We don't seem to be getting overly well prepared for the start of the season, which is under a month away.

I do feel pretty pessimistic, but then I did this time last year too.

I think Everton could finish above us this year, unless they get their better players taken from them. Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini would all get into our midfield comfortably (and be one of our best players) plus Rodwell looks very talented.

Carlos has replaced Clark at half time and is playing centre half.

Goal! Carew header from a great piece of work and cross from Albrighton.

2-1. Dunne gets turned, a nice one-two and Brad beaten.

It is only a friendly, but it's also only Bohemians' reserve team. Silly to read too much into it, but I do have a feeling we can only really play at full throttle, and I think that's one of the reasons we start to fade out towards the end of the season.

How do you know its their reserves?

I'm so ignorant I couldn't name you a player without guessing.

I am always staggered by people reading anything into results of a friendly. Especially when it still July and the players have only been back training a week.

Lincoln was only a friendly last year, where we lost 3-1, but that didn't stop a reaction similar to a loss against Small Heath.
