Ok, why not

To the tune of Pet Shop Boys 'Being Boring'

I came across a cache of old Villa photos
And invitations to lemon parties.
"SHA are shite" one said, with quotations
From someone's wife, a famous writer
In the nineteen-twenties.

When you're young you find inspiration
In 1981.
And holding up a league trophy
Dennis said: "We were never feeling bored."

'Cause we were never being boring
We had too much fun to fight amongst ourselves
And we were never being boring
We got pissed up, went to Rotterdam, then thought: "Make amends."

And we were never holding back or worried about transfer windows
 In the old Holte End.

Blame Leeg.

note: I wouldn't youtube that video anytime soon. Been a while since I had seen it, and it doesn't improve with age.

I'm sure my Robbie Keane song got lost in all the arguments with Greg.

Tis a shame. I spent all morning thinking it up.

Okay, Okay 5 minutes while I walked somewhere. I'm touched no one said it was crap!

The one with the Family Guy theme tune? I was on the brink of praising it before getting myself worked up by Greg's comments.

If you check any other thread, Greg, you'll notice I never mention you.

ANYWAY, enough of those arguments, back to transfers. I think Dorrans is a good player, but he has yet to be tested at this level. Alternatively if he succeeds and his price goes up, we'll have missed out on a classic bargain. It's a difficult choice.

I remember saying he looked a player when he was up here at Livingstone.

I think of pretty much any of the young Scottish players around I think he is potentially the best by a distance. I do however think he is too similar to Delph in both position, age and even the fact he can be a bit too rash with the odd challenge!

You think he's like Delph? My impression was that his best position was further forward than Delph's.

I've seen Dorrans play that deeper position quite well once or twice.

And don't forget that Delph has played a fair bit as an attacking midfielder at nasty dirty Leeds.

So to be honest they both could end up in either midfield position. It is just that at the present time they strike me as similar.

WEST HAM are expecting a bid from Aston Villa for Scott Parker.
The Hammers are bracing themselves for the move when Villa midfielder James Milner, 24, makes his expected £25million move to Manchester City.

Upton Park co-owner David Sullivan has always said midfielder Parker, 29, is not for sale.

But if Villa come in with a big offer then West Ham may find it hard to resist.

Villa want £30m for Milner but City will not go above £25m.

Dorrans Is a decent player but it would take crazy money for Albion to sell him now!

Parker would be a good signing for a couple of years and would improve midfield if we signed ireland as well , I'm hoping now the golf is over mon will get behind his desk and get things moving, we certainly don't need this milner deal dragging on all summer , so a decision one way or the other needs to be made soon.

I love the expression 'bracing themselves for a bid' to describe the supposed notion of a club considering of thinking of maybe possibly making a bid for a player. What a load of rollocks.

Not Villa related, but Jimmy Bullard is currently on a flight to Glasgow - can Celtic really pay him what he was reportedly on at Hull?
