I am many things, but one thing I'm not is a Monette. I'm closer to Paulie than Percy (not saying he is a Monette - but he begins with a P!) with my feelings towards MoN.

I'm sure you'll find there are plenty of times I've been in agreement with you, and have also slated MoN. I have a go at you because you are a troll, and offer nothing to this site other than winding people up. It's not that it's the same post over and over, Greg, because, as you say, lots of people do that. Indeed, Hilts and I had the same argument at least once a week last season. I myself went on the "where is 4-3-3" bandwagon with every other post.

No, it's that every post is the same ill-considered snipe at MON or those on here who don't think he's the Antichrist (lumping all people whose opinions vary from VS's to mine to Maz's to Percy's together as 'monettes'). It's not contributing anything, it's not sparking debate, sometimes it seems like you don't even want people to respond to you. It's not that we disagree with you - though I'm sure many do - as everyone disagrees with each other on here. It's that, as Maz says, it's tiring and boring.

i never had this problem under dol, taylor or gregory on here and i  criticised them as much if not more so a lot of the time. i doub't i was even noticed before it became blasphemy to criticise the manager. once he's gone people will return back to normality

It's that you're not necessarily contributing anything but sniping at people on here for being "monettes", among other things. Risso is rabidly critical of the manager, but he doesn't disparage people who aren't, certainly not as pathologically as you do.

I the midst if all that, we were discussing two midfielders - Boateng and Kallstrom.  I think both should be 'gettable' and although I have reservations about KPB, I do think those two in for Sidwell and NRC would leave us in a better position.  Add Petrov, Stephen Ireland (as a theorized replacement for Milner) and Delph once fit and we'd be looking pretty strong centrally.

Re Boateng: it's a tough call. When Spurs signed him, he had a pretty strong reputation but never got going there. He looked very good in fits and starts for Pompey last season and, again, at the WC he has looked sharp. Obviously, he's playing for a move so the concern would be this: did he just lift his game for the tournament?

There's some rumour stuff over the BBC 606 thread that MON has been trying to land Collison of West Ham and working that deal into the Sidwell to West Ham transfer. Interesting.

Maybe for me too although I have in the past dismissed him as average, he might be a bit better than that. He's still not good enough to be a regular starter for us in my opinion but a useful squad player, sure.
