I hadn't heard the Richards to Spurs stuff. He's a Birmingham boy, so we may have a chance. If we asked for him in the Milner deal, City would say yes, I imagine MON could get him to agree too.

My guess is that Bellamy would be happy to "fight for his place" at Man City (i.e. sit out the remainder of his contract), as would Ireland. Hart is a possibility if he can get a guarantee that Friedel will retire after next season.

Ireland - Not happy with being frozen out by Mancini, and would know he'd play week in/week out here.

I don't want to see milner go, but the chance to get $20-30 million for him (+ a player or 2) is a good chance for us to kick on. I do think we need to be careful about how many players we get rid of. MON is a master at only managing to get 1 or 2 players in at the last minute but could easily get rid of 6-7 of the current squad. We don't want to end up with an even smaller squad a hope like hell no one gets injured and then run the risk of an end of season burnout (again)!

I don't think the squad needs too much of an "overhaul" though to be honest. Some of the players being touted as available I think should stay (Young, Beye, Davies & Reo-Coker).

Micah Richards is an interesting one. Looked a hell of a player a couple of season's ago, but seem's to have lost his way. A classic example of a player needing a new club maybe?

Just look at Luke Young.

Oh, and I still rate NRC very highly and think it's a shame he had that bust up with MON.
