So you would call me saying "Maybe he's a bluenose?" me stating a fact? I would hope not Dave.

It is easy for me to say I would write something better because I think it would be easy. I know its a slow news day, I know its just a space filler. I honestly dont need these things explained to me. Most articles in the Mail are nothing but, especially where Villa are concerned.
But I would still enjoy a level of accuracy, understanding and relevance that I find sadly lacking in this article. Again.

We're the local big dogs. We should have better than this. It's not good enough.

If you think it's so easy go ahead and do it.

I doubt they'd pay me enough. If you get me the gig and it does pay enough, I'll give you a commission.

Maybe for once in his life, Redknapp should just offer a silent prayer to St Fu.

Most days Mat just has to change the odd word in whatever is on avfc.co.uk.

And we are all probably better qualified to criticise journalists than we are to criticise football managers. We've all written something, but I can't recall anyone but me mention that they have managed a football team.

Talking of Redknapp,

did anybody see MOTD when Craggy face said I would play Lennon in the team against Slovenia and Hansen just silenced him and said "hes out of his depth at Internation level"

Priceless....

Don't doubt Kendrick's Villa supporting credentials, and it's nice to read an article without the third rate sarcasm and damning with faint praise that Howell so frequently indulged in.

It was so clear that bloke was on a wind up at times.

Only issue I'd have is that most of the articles -particularly any of the transfer gossip- seems to be directly lifted from here and elsewhere.

Maybe the Mail has been first with something Villa related recently, or offered a fresh insight. But I can't recall when.

O'Halloran has joined Coventry on a free according to SSN. Good luck to him.

Aye. Never really thought he'd make it here and the injury made that certain, but he's a decent player. He'll do well there.
Good luck, young man.

Damn, now we are down a bogtrotter. Get Keane signed fast.

Very well put good sir.

However I am current manager of Erdington AFC (reserves), and have mentioned the fact when trawling off topic for new talent.

Good luck with that. I'd help you out, but I couldn't stand the whining from the clueless amateurs who think they're well-informed because they've worked out that a right-back plays on the right at the back.

I'd go as far as saying that, when it's a lengthy piece, 95% of what Maz writes in fabulously readable....whether you agree or not. It seems to me (and I know very little of how a newspaper works), that the editor will give instructions that the articles are to be drab, dull, not necessarily acurate page-fillers. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the journalist is drab and dull and has no particular love for the truth.

But I'd much rather read something as humourous/angry/militant/scathing/insightful as what Mazrim comes out with than the insomnia-curing shit that's in the paper. Maybe that's why it's dying on it's arse.

Cheers Troy. Usual bank account?
