Toulalan as the defensive midfielder to replace Petrov
Gourcuff as an attacking midfielder
Bebatov as striker

In the real world:
Keep Petrov in the first XI for another season.
Hamsik from Napoli.  Bentley as a more MON alternative.
Bentdner.

I'll change my mind next week though.

I reckon £20m for those pair with the sales of either Carew or Heskey and Shorey to reign in the spending a bit.  Any other sales to be replaced on a like for like basis (NRC for O'Hara maybe).

He's a very good player and highly rated I think he would have bigger fish to fry.

I'd go for Ireland (or Joe Cole), Micah Richards, Defour (or Kim Kallstrom) and for what seems like the 10th season in a row I'm going to ask that we sign Darren Bent (or Bendtner if available).
Andy Carroll would be a good move too as a future prospect. Loan him back to Newcastle for a season.

Everything else we need can come from promoted kids.

Out can go Sidwell, Beye (part of Carroll deal), Shorey, Heskey, Harewood and Osbourne.

Collison or Dorrans to replace Sidwell.

Then a big move for a forward. Berbatov would be gettable, I reckon. Santa Cruz would be a decent addition too for the right price. But we all know he'll go for Carlton Cole.

Ok my view would be O'neill does not rotate we all no that. So a squad of 20 with a couple of youth players is sufficient.

I think are budget will be restricted to 20 million tops plus a further 30k a year on wages with player sales then used to supplement.
