Instead of having the "Togolese Zidane" we could have the
original Riquelme... and for about the same money.
Seb Veron has caught a second wind and he is several years older.

Think of him as a replacement for Salifou... In fact, don`t bother,
life is to short to get depressed. Next...

Overseas player, hence, wipe him from your thoughts.

Players who play in Foreign Leagues make O'Neill bilious.

Mon is not averse to a foreign fullback mind, Bosingwa and a few
others spring to mind.  Evaldo has a mon ring to it.
He is a 28 year old left back, said to be good in the air...that`s
our attacking right back sorted then.

Arteta certainly holds for Everton with Feillani, Cahill, Osman, Pienaar etc the offensive minded midfielders.

Phil Neville is the holding midfielder. Arteta often starts out wide and drifts him. Him or Pienaar would be very good signings but I think Ireland is still the most realistic signing.

Ireland would be the most realistic and certainly the best Midfield option for us to sign.

Isn't Evaldo a left back? How long before we get linked with Miguel again . . .

Yes, we were lining up a swoop for him for three years and then, just as we were ready to pounce, the mighty Birmingham City stole him from under our nose and even after begging him he wouldn't be swayed.

Now they print articles about him being their tallest ever player (an inch taller than Kevin Francis would you believe?) whilst we lick our wounds.

That's got us back for beating them 22-0 a hundred and something years ago.

I still haven't quite got over the fact that Small Heath beat us to the Zigic signing.  I haven't been this upset since Magnus Okuonghae decided to join Colchester United on a free from Dagenham and Redbridge.  The fact that we weren't after either player is an insignificant detail that does nothing to soothe the pain.

Seems strange going for a LB..  I know Shorey and Bouma have and will be gone but he would want first team action..

Maybe MON fancies Warnock as RB  ;-s
