In a weird turn of events, Wrexham are in talks to be brought out by Deadpool & some other Hollywood actor:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/sep/23/ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney-shock-bid-to-invest-in-wrexham-football

Perhaps they've heard about Wrexham not only having the largest industrial estate in Europe, and Wales' biggest prison, but also crucially the largest British Heart Foundation shop in the whole of the UK.  That's made them think that the club has the potential to become a European powerhouse once more, having not realised they can't enter the Welsh Cup these days.

Maybe.

Never realised how old Wrexham AFC is. Smart crest too!

Still think Hartlepool would have been a better option for the headline writers though.

Durham City 2 v 2 Tow Law Town

Didier Agathe's boys get their first point of the season. Sixth time lucky.

AFC Solihull 3 Leamington Hibernian 2. I like Tudor Grange - under cover, good view and the car park's never full. It kicked off early so being anorakical I then went to the second half of Shush 1 Kenilworth Sporting 3.

That ground's a jinx. Every club that plays there goes out of business.

National League will go ahead

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54391164

Quote
The National League season will start as planned on Saturday, following confirmation of "significant" financial support from the government.

A £10m grant has been secured over three months following negotiations between the league, the Football Association and the government.

There is potential to expand the support should supporters still not be allowed to return to stadiums.

Clubs will begin the new season playing matches behind closed doors.

Villa legend quits relegation threatened City.

[,,,] news from Durham City.

Didier Agathe, the former Celtic midfielder in whom the long-time strugglers had invested such hope as manager, has gone – and, word has it, several of that most cosmopolitan of team’s players with him.

“A difficult situation,” admits Olivier Bernard, the former Newcastle United defender who’s club chairman. “We are both disappointed. Having Didier was a big thing for the club.”

City, homeless for several seasons, have just one point – 2-2 with Tow Law – from their first nine games in the Ebac Northern League second division. It’s possible that the technology’s malfunctioning, but it looks like a £10,000 crowd funding appeal launched in the summer by the admirable Gary Hutchinson has raised precisely £15.

They hope to appoint a new manager before Saturday’s game with Ryton.

Durham v Tow Law is a North East derby isn't it? I think Chris Waddle started out at Tow Law.

Dudley Town 0 2 Stone Old Alleynians, FA Vase.
Better side won, it's a shame that the "home side" have to play in Willenhall but Sporting Khalsa's ground on Noose Lane is very smart. The man on the PA must've have worked on the Waltzers at one time, pumping out dance music and barking down the mic and I hate plastic pitches.
