The real Brummie thing has gone off on a tangent as all the Lichfield Noses are leaping on their to defend the town and how many of them there are in Staffordshire. As usual they debunk their own mythology. There’s an official story they like to peddle and then there’s the reality.

Exactly, it’s as if Blues fans don’t move to the ‘burbs or commuter towns and they are somehow shielded from economic phenomena that happen to 100% of the rest of the population. Idiots.

Facing a £1m pound repair bill for the 2 defective stands. Just as well they're loaded.

The great unwashed have a thread over at SmallTimeAlliance on Graham Potters decorum shown in his post match interview yesterday, they inevitably digress onto Smith berating.

I actually love how much they hate us.

In their love fest of Potter I’m just amazed no one has commented on that GP is allegedly a Villa fan.

Yeah they have. Enthusiasm has waned after that I think.

In their working class thread a Nose has said they would be ignorant or shortsighted if they didn’t admit Villa had a working class fanbase too. Let’s see how that one goes down.

The loyalty claim always makes me smile. They are the worst supported big city club in Western Europe, all things considered.

I said that to one of my nose mates once, although I confined it to Britain. He came back with ‘Orient’.

Reminded me of the bit in Fawlty Towers when a disgruntled guest said it was the worst hotel he’d ever stayed in and the Major was furious.

“No! I won’t have that! There’s a place in Eastbourne”.

I grew up in Shard End which I think can safely be considered to be working class, although there wasn't that much working going on when I was a lad.  It was more Villa than Blues.

Dodgy owners, skint, battling relegation, ground half condemned but their main concern is how their Staffordshire fan base compares to Villa's. They really aren't focusing on the big picture are they?

Why bother paying and opening them, they can only just about fill 2 stands as it is?

They're bound to draw Villa in the cup one year.

Think they’re probably going to escape, again.
Sheffield self destructing vrs Luton has helped.
The points Sheffield were deducted is, more than likely, going to be the difference

If Small Heath go down that is fine by me. If they scrape survival and face yet another season struggling in the purgatory of the bottom six in the Championship that is also fine by me.

I said as much a few pages back.
They go down and there’s a chance they’ll have a half decent season, or stay up and be perennial strugglers with an occasional surge
