I’ve read a tweet tonight from one of ours that suggests that the reason we’re doing so well and they’re so shit at the moment is because fans aren’t being let in. Apparently it shows that their fans make a positive difference and ours negative. Where to start?...

That comment only makes sense if they were tearing it up with fans.

We'd never know if they would.

My mates just shared this photo on his instagram with the caption "baller" (no, me neither)

I had to chuckle though as with the amount of empty blue seats Its genuinely difficult to know if this is pre or post lockdown.

What does 'baller' actually mean? It just sounds ridiculous. I hate it.

Am not far behind you mate, to be fair. I see that 'baller' phrase on Twitter alot. Usually under a photo of Douglas Luiz. I think the official Villa page was up to it recently.

A quick Google search brings this up;

'A baller is a basketball player or a successful person who lives a lavish lifestyle similar to a professional basketball player's. It can also be used to describe someone who or something that is skillful or excellent. The term is often pronounced and written as balla in African American Vernacular English'

I think it's that kid they signed from the bitters. Highly rated a few years ago, been pretty average since.

The term 'baller' for a good player is relatively new. I am pretty sure for most of my life calling someone 'a baller' would have been taken as an insult.

Jonathan Leko who came on for ten minutes at the end on Saturday and was apparently a world beater.

First time I heard it used was mid 90s in that Skee Lo song "I wish i was a little bit taller".

We finally got a mention over there, in a thread about Newcastle fans.
