The way they look at Smith, or anyone associated with Villa tells you all you need to know. There is no nuance, consideration or educated thought just naked hatred.
I've no beef with Aye Carumba, never hated Bruce and only disliked Monk after he made light of one of their fans physically attacking an opposition player on the pitch.
Their mindset doesn't stand up to scrutiny, it's irrational and blind, which is why violence lies at it's heart.

She wasn’t wrong.
One of the most talented players we’ve had.

They can't help themselves. From a thread on Robin Friday and George Best...

"Give me a character any day of the week. If everyone told the exact truth with no flair, or as in all walks of life never did anything wrong, then the world would be a far more boring place universally populated by Bobby Charltons and Brian Little’s [sic]"

"Give me a character anyday" because any player with any talent would have had to piss it all away to wind up at that grim fucking shithole.

I think they are mistaking "a character" for a lunatic. After signing Tony Coton from them for Watford one of SGT's first jobs was to give Coton a character reference to keep him out of jail on an assault charge. Jermaine Pennant went to prison and had to wear an electronic ankle tag whilst playing for them. One of their many crazy left backs and his wife were notorious for their 'domestics' and she once stabbed him.

Yes, his an elusive charm although now it appears he is no longer on the sex offenders register, maybe a return to his spiritual home is on the cards?

The naked hatred point above is a perfect description of them. Many, many years ago of course I had my 21st birthday party.  During the customary thanking of people for coming and organising on my behalf bit on stage I was a little inebriated and started singing Villa songs on the mike.

Two of them started appearing from the dry ice mist literally foaming at the mouth and heading for the stage to quell my enjoyment before someone stopped them and told them to behave.  Bear in mind these were invited guests!!    Very odd bunch indeed.

It’s in their blood. They have a thread where they are amused they don’t top the arrests league and one guy speculates their thugs are social distancing - “the Viles have been doing that since 1982.” It took  the second or third post in the topic for us to get a mention!

KippaxVilla2 they are a strange bunch for sure, My Moms side are mainly Blues fans and they are at any other time nice and normal(whatever that is in these strange times) but as soon as you mention football or the Villa they turn into a a cross between a watered Gremlin and the Hulk with rabies....
