The bloke who did all the digging on the hairdresser seems to have got job working for Birmingham Mail/Live. Ironic really bearing in mind they didn't seem to want to go near what he did a few years ago.

Another one who now has a platform to dig at da vile.  The Mail really are scraping the barrel these days.  Where is Villa leaks these days?

Thereís an article on the Guardian website about their League Cup win. The comments section is pure comedy gold.

Small Heath are rotten at every level they really are I have just been reading that two of their women players have been suspended for two matches for attending a illegal party and also they have been ordered to play their home match against  Manchester  City  on Sunday at the England training  centre as their home ground at Solihull is always unfit .They may have to play the rest of their home games away from Solihull  Anything bad and you can bet your life the name Birmingham City will be mentioned

Itíll probably turn out that Shamima Begum supports them.

Or that their Byzantine ownership trail leads back to ISIS.

I think even ISIS have certain standards below which they wouldn't demean themselves.

ďSure, there have been bad times and even worse players over many decades. There was the man in the fur coat, the Sketchleys boys and to many struggles.

However, one single fact remains, we are the most successful team around here, this century, in spite limited, comparable resources.

There is no possibility, whatsoever, of immature and sad glory hunting. We do not live in Little Aston, or worse, Lichfield.

We are irrationally loyal to the Blues. Not any manager, player or owner. But to the soul of working class culture, at its finest. That is supporting our own local team. There is always change and the club will improve in spite of the duffers in charge, now.

Up the Blues!Ē

So loyal their attendances are always worse than ours.  Glory hunting? Yep itís been a bag of laughs the last ten years. And working class and local? Ok.

The loyalty claim always makes me smile. They are the worst supported big city club in Western Europe, all things considered.

Another guy says they are the peoples club. Itís definitely a blue thing to be the second team in a city where you have less support and success but still spout off utter utter bullshit about the bigger team.

How often do they fill their stadium that holds less than thirty thousand?

2018/2019 they averaged less than 23,000.

To quote an old mate of mine they are "Cuffy Tramps". A phrase he used referencing Bernard Cribbins TV character.

Sheffield is an exception to that blue rule I think.

So basically the shit club in a city of more than one club consoles itself by calling itself "The People's Club" or the "Proper club in the city" with the proper local support. So sadly for Villa winning European trophies means we will never be able to be the peoples club or the proper club. But win a couple of Sherpa Van Windscreen Wiper trophies and you are the the proper club with the proper fans.

If you base it solely on trophies then I suppose you could say theyíve been more successful than us this century, but even bearing in mind how crap weíve been for much of the last decade, since 2001 weíve played in 3 major finals, finished sixth (which Blose have achieved once, ever) four times, finished above them virtually every season and beaten them repeatedly.

Let them console themselves however they please. Their lives are grim enough.

Why are you even quoting that nonsense?
