I haven't caught the train into Brum for about three weeks. Normally I flick the Vs as I go past and cast a curse. I'm a bit concerned that as I am not able to do this now, there might be a resurgence in good fortune for the filth in blue and white. Can somebody reassure me that:
a) they are still shit
and
b) they will always be shit

Is the Pope Catholic? Do bears shit in the woods?

Some things are so obviously true that no reassurance is needed.

Hope this helps! :D :D :D

A. They are still shit (and currently in the financial shit too).

B. They will always be shit providing they don't go bust in the next few months. A win/win situation from our point of view.

The problem is everytime they go bust there’s a consortium consisting somewhere of the Carrott (and I like him by the way) and some shady Asian/cockney businessman that buys them for £1 and they are treated as messiahs for a couple of seasons as they’ve managed to paint the stands and put SOTV on their twitter handle.

I think they are fighters. And because you're not doing it any more they've nothing to fight for, so will become weaker.

If they go bust will it mean we can finally drink in town again?

What is this mythical and magical place known as 'Town' of which you speak?

Out of boredom, I took a look over at our less fortunate cousins. It's good to see that in an ever changing world, you can count on them to be collectively thick as pigshit. Please see the below entry, a man who doesn't quite get the whole 'furlough' thing:

" Bluesince62
07:17, Tue 28 Apr
 Greebo joe
Speaking of c***s, I assume nothing more has happened with little Saint Jack of Witton?
Quelle surprise.
Vilers around here praising their club for the players taking a wage cut to help out, were the same ones trying to laugh at Blues when we were the first to do it, weeks before, calling us skint pricks.
They really are skid marks on the face of football."

To be fair, it would be easy to miss the relentless discussions about what furloughing means on the news, in the workplace or on social media, and given he's labelled 'bluesince62', this is a man likely to be in at least his sixties.
