Geoff died nearly two years ago.

I didn't know him very well to be honest, even though he became my Nan's boyfriend (For want of a better name) - some years after my grand father past away. They met on a Nile cruise and lived together for some many years after.

Geoff adored my Nan that was very obvious, and he looked after her for many years after her diagnosis with alzheimers. Difficult times (When her sons perhaps could have been there more for her - my uncle actually resented him)

He also happened to be a fellow Villa fan - I'm the only one in my family - so I was always happy to see him and chat about the game (I was around ten when he was introduced)

Sorry to hear about your loss Malandro. Sounds like Geoff was a good bloke.
