Cracking night at Wrigley Field last night for the Cubs v Rockies game, my first MLB game.  Seats 3 from the front in left field almost got hit by a broken bat.

Castro for the Cubs impressed as did Kosuke Fukudome for his name alone

Game over & off to Bernies across the street to catch the second period of the Blackhawks game which they won 4-2 away at San Jose, game 2 of the Play Offs.

I'll stick up some pics & video Thursday/Friday.

Glad you enjoyed it Jon.

The facilities at Wrigley might not be great but the atmosphere and history make it worth it.

Also, with the "L" right next to the ballpark, getting in and out is really easy

I don't want to have the "everyone did it" argument.  If you have been found to have definitely taken a PED, I don't think you should be there.

I completly agree with you on the PED's but its gonna happen there is no way they are not going to admit Barry Bonds, So the precident will be set.

I'm just watching ESPN and it the Yankees Vs The Twins, Pettite is pitching and it reminded me of a discussion I had with 2 mates of mine after the last world series 1 of them is a Cubs fan the other is a White Sox fan.

Andy Pettite hall of famer or not?

We all came to the conclusion he has got to be mainly on his post season record 4 rings etc..

What does everyone else think?

I don't think he makes it. The rings are nice, but his ERA of 3.89 would be the worst in the HOF. He does have over 2,000 Ks and over 232 wins though. I guess it will depend on if he sticks around a little longer. 250+ wins would really help his case.

if he could pull a 15 win season at his age, that would be great.

Getting above 250 is going to be hard.

And Pettite throws 8 of the best innings I have ever seen him throw.

I'm in Boston for four Royals @ Sox games

Dice-K is pitching for the Sox tonight, so it'll be an interesting albeit stressful evening.

Yesterday was quite some day in baseball............

Roy Halladay of the Phillies pitches the 20th Perfect Game in mlb history.

This is the first time in over 120 years that there have been two PG's in one season

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/halladay_perfecto/index.jsp

Kendry Morales of the Angels hits a walk off Grand Slam and then breaks his leg in the celebration

Yankees blow a ten run lead against the Indians

As for me I was at the Redsox 1-0 win over the Royals. A Typical defeat for Zach Greinke. He only gives up one run still loses.

Gil Meche is injured so it'll be Bruce Chen pitching for the Royals tonight. Hopefully a slugfest will occur

I was at the Yankee game yesterday in a luxury box.  I must have eaten 14 pieces of free pizza...

Joe Girardi over managed them again.

I said this last year, countless times, and I say it again.  They win in spite of JG, not because of him.

He has managed them to a loss or to a closing the gap and almost losing a lead than he has managed them to a come back or to a come from behind closing the gap loss.

He used Mitre and Marte for one batter each while up by 5?!?!?!  WHY?!?!?

And then put in Joba on no rest with no warm up?!?!  Why?!?!?

He's a mess...

Ooh, ooh! Miss. I know this Miss.

It's when a pitcher gets all the batters out without a single one of them even getting to first base.
Three up. three down in every innings.

That's right isn't it?

I think that's right.  Amazing, given the number of baseball games there must have been over the years, that it has only happened twenty times.
