How can you get to the semi-pros and be that bad?

you got me...

I mean seriously, a middleschool kid who has never played before could intentionally walk someone...

Was he high? Drunk?

Can't access that site at work - what happens?

I've watched it twice and I still have no idea!
The pitcher does some girlie throws and then the other team start celebrating, don't know why!

Isn't throwing the ball away a bit cowardly?

Reminds me of the Aussies' greatest disgrace in cricket...

But I like this thread. It's sort of like looking at one of those 'Magic Eye' pictures, you spend ages staring at it trying to work out what it is, then suddenly it seems to become clear and then, bang, no it's gone again.

A wild pitch on an intentional walk that forces in the winning run.

Perfectly straightforward as far as I'm concerned.

7 in a row for the Bronx Bombers!

I am going on Thursday.  My wife got us tickets for the Mohegan Sun bar (the bar in centerfield) and seats in the lower level behind home plate.

It would be great if they were going for win number 9.

(my wife only goes to like 2 games a year and has absolutely no clue what the hell is even going on)

The first game I ever went to (Royals at Cubs) had a similar incident with the Cubs trying to bring the pitcher to the plate with two out and a runner on third so it can happen to the best of us too.

A bit like a football team conceding a late penalty and kicking the ball out the ground to ensure time running out and it couldn't be taken. Leading to the introduction of the concept of injury time.

I still love that baseball coach from the minors who went mental during a game. Can't remember his name or I'd post a link.

Big Papi just just got his first homer of the seasons - looking good for my Sox.

Of course, that will mean nothing to all but the few of us on here who care.

throwing away the ball like in the video is not done on purpose.

the guy stinks.

You can intentionally walk someone to get to the next better or to put a man on first to better your chances of the double play.

It's pretty much baseball 101.

The fact that they screwed up an intentional walk and lost the game is insanity.

This happened just a few hours after I removed Ortiz's name from my signature. Therefore, I'm claiming credit for his change in fortunes.

I'm sure Papi's gearing up for a power outburst. Maybe during the 10 game homestand commencing Friday 3rd July !!
