In late June I was sat in the stands in Portland, Maine watching Rafael Devers playing AA baseball for the Sea Dogs.

I was saying to the bloke next to me that the Red Sox should consider rapid promotion for Devers because he was clearly too good for AA.
The guy disagreed, saying that Devers was too young and inexperienced

A month later, Devers is going 4 for 4 in the Majors.

I should be Boston's chief scout

Just watched the Red Sox turn a triple play, may well be the first one i've seen 'live', which was started by Devers. I was watching live on MLBTV and Devers recent home runs were ridiculous. A 102.8mph fast ball, a golf shot, the kid looks good.
