"World Wrestling Entertainment was informed Friday morning by Lance McNaught’s father that he has passed away of apparent heart failure. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the McNaught family.”
“Mr. McNaught was under contract from March 2003 to October 2008 and performed under the name “Lance Cade.” He returned to FCW, WWE’s developmental territory, in September 2009, and was released in April 2010.”
“Lance Cade” is currently the top trending Twitter topic in the United States

No, no, no. Not going to let this drop off the first page. Especially after a REALLY good Monday Night Raw. For the first time in AGES, there wasn't a single segment I fast forwarded through.
Nice to see some of those below the main event level get some good tv time and a nice main event set-up for the Night of Champions PPV.

I'll keep talking to myself if I have to to keep this thread alive... but after a great RAW to set up for Night of Champions, I thought they really hit the ball out the park with the PPV itself. Certainly didn't do it any harm being in Chicago. Damn, that crowd were hot and for every single match. Won't say any more in case anyone hasn't caught it yet.
I HAVE TO go to a Chi-town PPV at some point soon. Only thing is, that will probably then mean I've done all the PPV things I really want to and not sure I want to do that.

Is there a video clip of that? I used to love the days when it was Undertaker and Paul Bearer.

Guy, would you like to see John Cena join Nexus? It would freshen things up a little.

I knew I'd be able to tempt you back in sooner or later, Tim! Did you see the pre-NOC RAW and the PPV itself? I reckon the shows and cards have been as strong as they have been in years.
I think they're a bit stuck where to go with NEXUS right now. Vince is disappointed with the t-shirt sales and the general reaction, but they should have put the tag belts on Justin Gabriel and whoever it was he used to tag with in FCW (or maybe Tarver and Otunga) a week or two after their initial invasion in my opinion. Start to push them taking over the whole show.
Have a face US Champ having to defend against a NEXUS challenger almost on a weekly basis, wearing them down would also have worked. I think they've missed the chance to really push them as a group and are already looking at ways of splitting them up.
I just can't see Cena working as a heel tho and can't see any good reason to push him as such. I might not like him, but I LOVE the mixed reaction he gets at live events and I think it always makes for a better experience and match as a result.
As an example, Summerslam 92, the match I remember most wasn't the Hart-Smith main event where the crowd was obviously partisan, it was Savage-Warrior where the crowd was split and REALLY hot.
Had a little scout about online and no clear inkling as to what the Cena-Nexus plans are. Maybe an unwilling member of them for a bit is on the cards, much as HBK's subservience to JBL a couple of years ago.

Anyone else think Miz might cash in his Money in the Bank contract this sunday? He doesn't have a match and would make a lot of sense as Cena keeps telling Barrett he's going to beat him up after the match.

I think Cena turns heel tonight. We know the story will finish at the Rumble, so the only way to keep it alive is for Cena to turn and support Barrett. The first thing they'll do is kick Otunga out and then they'll both be against RKO...

As much as I would love to see it I just can't see Cena turning heel. Here are my Survivor series predictions anyway.
Daniel Bryan to beat Ted Dibiase
Dolph Ziggler to beat Kaval
Team Del Rio to beat Team Mysterio
Sheamus to beat John Morrison
Nexus to beat Santino and Kozlov
Laycool to beat Natalya
Kane to beat Edge
Barret to beat Orton, Miz doesn't cash in despite the rumours, no heel turn for Cena

FORTY in the Royal Rumble this year! I suppose it's to accommodate Nexus. The Rumble is my second favourite ppv, after The Big Dance. HBK going in to the Hall of Fame; things are warming up nicely!

I've cancelled my Sky Sports subscription so am currently keeping up-to-date thanks to the excellent ewrestlingnews website. Sounds like I'm missing some quality CMPunk on RAW. Really need to conveniently bump into my neighbour and offer him Ł5 per month to piggy back his broadband. The dongle I've got from 3 is alright, but 5GB per month is nowhere near enough to browse and watch as much crap as I do!
Good for you for resurrecting the thread tho, TimVilla! Oh and you REALLY need to experience the Rumble in person. Cena getting eliminated and Benoit winning it in 2004 was good, but Taker and Michaels finishing the 2007 event (even if HBK's missed superkick was slightly botched) was awesome.
I'm not a Cena fan, but even I jumped up out my chair for his unexpected return in MSG the following year. And I was watching that live at my brother's place. Well, we had to, we were heading over for Mania just two short months later and that's where The Road begins!

Guy M, I always watch Smackdown and Raw on youtube the day after.Just type what date it was on and click one of the "HQ" ones.
SO glad Cm Punk is back doing his thing and looking forward to seeing what happens at the Rumble (As long as this 40 man thing is just a one off)
Would love to see Del Rio or Wade Barrett win it. Or even Kane, let's face it, he's earned it. But I've got a very strong feeling it will go to a returning Triple H.

A friend told me about
desirulez
a few months back and that site has been one of the main reasons I finally decided to get rid of Sky Sports. I'd rather spend more money on the WWE merchandise direct and line Vince's pockets (and subsidise Linda's next election campaign) that way than through their association with Sky. The only problem is the mobile broadband allowance as I'm in a rented flat without a landline.
I really don't think they'll waste it on Triple H. He's got a Mania feud with Sheamus to look forward to or the possibility of a match with Taker. I'd really like to see them elevate someone, similar to the way they've done with The Miz and his MITB opportunity.
That or put over one of the special surprise guest entrants like the Brooklyn Brawler.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I think they'll probably do something with Triple H and Sheamus at the Rumble, have them eliminate each other and then brawl outside the ring for example. I'm oficially changing my prediction to CM Punk but that may change. Tough one to call this year imo.
