I'll have a look at that. I must say I didn't notice. Do you remember Mr Kennedy Kennedy's last match with Raw? It was the 5v5 (basketball shirts) match. Kennedy botched a move on Orton and he went mental.

Yeah, Kennedy was fired as a result of that. I never liked him anyway.

I still watch a lot of my old WWF vhs tapes from the late 80s and early though i have managed to buy a load of the Tagged Classic reissues on dvd. You cant beat Royal Rumble 92 or Wrestlemania 8.......

I've been transferring all my recorded from Sky (and those that were on Channel 4 *spit*) PPVs from VHS to DVD. About 100 so far. Still got some official VHS to transfer and some tricky Sky Box Office ones that the supposed Macrovision Remover I bought hasn't helped with. In fact, it's just made the picture really jumpy.

Been considering getting the Rumble Tagged Classics. Ditch the box and just keep the discs of the best damn PPV that WWE have ever done.

Met Pat Patterson on the way to the 20th anniversary one... but was a bit worried when he thought he recognised my brother and me and seemed very glad to meet us too. You guys do know why, don't you?

Perhaps he met you in one of 'those' bars and was hoping you'd tag team him?

Reasons why The Hitman Rocked;

He really was the excellence of execution, same moves all the time, but the way he performed them and the sequencing was always spot on. He sold them brilliantly, he was always a bit miffed everyone would always scream phoney at him instead of great acting.

If you were going to do a top 3 tag teams ever list, how could The Hart foundation not be there? The dynamic of the Anvil's power and the Hitman's cocky confidence worked brilliantly as both heel and face.

He was literally asked to carry the business through the dark times of deaths, steroid scandals and falling ratings, which he did quite admirably. I was sick of seeing Hulk Hogan show up once a year and win everything, Ultimate warrior's complete inability to wrestle and Ric flair's 4 move repertoire.

Without knowing the men I've mentioned I would hazard a guess that they were all critical of him because everything he said about them being inflexible regimented dinosaurs was true, too keen to hold on to their halcyon days and not relinquish the influence they had and not willing to push the business or match performance aspects further.

Spot on, rancid.

Watched WRESTLING WITH SHADOWS with my brother over Christmas and he still had a bee in his bonnet then about Bret screwing Bret and not doing what was right for the business.

I made the point that he was willing to drop the belt before leaving, he just didn't want to do it in Canada and certainly didn't want to do it to HBK there. And I could understand that completely.

He showed long-term loyalty to Vince at a time when others were already jumping ship and when he could have got more money elsewhere. He only went to WCW when Vince later suggested he go back to them and see if they would still offer what they previously had. WWF's finances must have been in a SHOCKING state at the time.

I liked Hogan more during his more recent runs in the WWE than I ever did "back in the day". The sheer arrogance of the man, the depressing predictability of his matches, the lot. It was only when he came back that he seemed to have finally matured and seemed to appreciate what was right for the business as opposed to what was right for him and his cronies. My concern for TNA is that he may have once again regressed to the monster he was back then.

I watched TNA Impact this morning. First match (a cage match), Homicide hit everybody with a stick, tried to escape the cage and couldn't get out. Then, the other wrestlers tried to cover for him by pretending to chase after him. He escaped through the door and Jeff hardy took too long to get to the ring!

Kurt Angle (who was recently a baddie who hated AJ) fought AJ as a face. Foley, who was good then bad then good and is now bad again (all in the space of under a year) never even made it to the ring. And then we had Bischoff - who managed to be face & heel in the same episode...

Like I said before: clusterfuck.

I agree Tim. The thing is though the car crash television element does make it quite fun to watch.

I always thought half of the fun of wrestling was telling a story, getting fans to empathise or care. TNA just seem in it for the cheap pops and the scene with Nash, Waltman, Hogan & the rather large Scott Hall was strange. Where are they going with that? And did Hall cock up every line, or just most of them?

And they seem to have Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett & Foley (& Dixie Carter, I guess) as disparate components. They'd have been better off leaving Jarrett & Foley off for a few weeks then bring them in steadily.

I meant this weeks Triple Threat....Orton, Kofi and Cena.

He went mental shouting 'Stupid, stupid, stupid' Then mouthed to the camera 'He fucked that up'

I couldn't be arsed to hang around where my Sky box is for TNA but did get to watch last week's RAW finally. Santino's reaction after winning his All Italian Italian Challenge was quality. I also like the quiff / comb-over he's slowly developing.

I thought Tyson was going to be awful and at first seemed to confirm it. But then he just kept his mouth shut, let the wrestlers talk and then came back in when prompted by Sheamus. Interesting change of camera angles on the backstage sections. Definitely pre-recorded. All in all, he wasn't nearly as awful as when he kept calling Austin "Cold Stone"!

As far as Orton and Kofi were concerned, if he meant his landing on the ropes, then it was only a slight fuck-up. I was at RAW in Herhsey the night after the Rumble in January 2004 and THAT'S how to botch an ending, Randy. Remember?

OH... doing a quick search and it looks like he didn't let Orton do the punt that was supposed to send a message to Sheamus. THAT'S why he's so pissed off.

Who remembers Razor Ramon then, the WWF's answer to Tony Montana. He was good as a heel and turned face not long after.

See that "rather large Scott Hall" that TimVilla referred to further up the page? That's Scott Hall. He's now in TNA, still running with same toothpick gimmick.

I just saw a story on one of the sites that picked up on something I noticed when I was watching NFL highlights the other day: Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Steve Breaston doing the Razor Ramon-style celebration

I assume you boys are all already familiar with Wrestlecast podcasts?

Sadly yes. When he's not so drunk or drugged up on painkillers that he can't even manage that.

Apparently it was Kelly Kelly's birthday yesterday. She was 23. TWENTY BLOODY THREE.

Here's a clip of her gunning for Damon's job at ITN.

Real name Barbara Blank... so inappropriate for one so lovely. But just how the hell did Test manage to date her AND Stacy Keibler. He might not have been around for a long time, but I guess in certain respects, it sure was a good time.

Say hello to the drunk guy!

Just a note (if anyone cares) Genesis PPV will not be on Bravo in the UK but on BT Vision.

Thank Dixie Carter.
