Ex Solihull Barons Fan here, although I've not been down for many years.  I quit after the MD decided a player who can't follow club rules was more important than a 10 year+ season ticket holder.

Not been near a rink since, not there is anything in Birmingham anyway.

I used to love the Wembley weekends.

My mate checked Ticketmaster but said the prices were extortionate.
We'll try the other link.

Ticketmaster or NHL.com are probably as cheap as you're going to get, short of going to the rink in person.

Attending a NHL game won't be cheap. Remember the arenas are fairly small.

I'm currently looking at going over in early April for a few games and am looking at $150 per ticket on average.

It depends on where you are watching a game. Out here in the desert the Coyotes are not really a big draw, they play second fiddle to the Suns(NBA) and Cardinals(NFL) so I have managed to get tickets for less than half the face value both from the Coyotes e-mailing me special deals or through e-bay.
The Coyotes are a good young team who are riding a five game win streak so maybe I will find getting tickets more difficult as more people jump on the bandwagon.

Alexander the Great signs the NHL's first $100m deal

The future of the NHL is looking bright with Alex and "Sid the Kid"

against the Coyotes, feckin amazing. But it wasn't just that he tore us apart the whole game and was his rookie year.
Ovechkin is more of a scorer but Crosby will rack up assists.

I can't believe how much the NHL has changed in 10 years.

as much as i love hockey - it looks like MISL and Arena (american) football now.....but there are still blokes like Ilya Kovalchuk on crap teams who juts want to score for themselves.....

This is what Bettman and unchecked expansion get you - a watered down and diluted product to appeal to Southerners and Disney fans.

I have to watch Slapshot every so often to remember what is used to be like - man do i miss minor league roadtrips in the old NAHL and AHL.

Not looking good for Crosby and the Penguins in the quest for Stanley. Down 3 games to 1 and its back to Detroit for game 5.

Looks like the Redwings have got this ine sewn up.

When will the NHL learn?

Teams win Cups, not pampered starlets like Cindy Crosby.....

A bit harsh on Sid the Kid.  What's he done wrong apart from be the best thing to happen to Ice Hockey in a long time?

I fell asleep with five minutes to go and Detroit 3-2 up. Well done me. Hopefully it'll go to Game 7 which I'll be able to watch properly as it's not on a school night.

The game doesn't need anymore pampered primma donnas to be used as marketing tools to get the casual fan to switch over from basketball and NFL.

Neither Gretzky, Mario, Lindros or Crosby could or will make a difference other than to further alienate the established fan base.
