Good result, Axl! I think this means Da Bears are better than the World Champions... 🤔

Actually, for the first time ever, I'm starting to have more interest in the 49ers than the Villa. I don't know how to feel to be honest.

Of course, it's all Gerrard's fault :)

Sacking Stafford 7 times seals it for me. I've had a few after work, but can feel a Superbowl coming.

Will be doubt be raving next week when we lose to the Panthers and on Halloween when we play those scummy Rams again.

If we can keep the main players fit; Deebo, Bosa, Kittle et al, and Jimmy G can be average...we have a sniff

Deebo's TD was amazing. Watched first half live, as Baba was awake.

Do feel like I care more about NFL than Football at the moment and that is largely Gerrard's fault. Killing my love for the game.

49ers are such a weird team, crap one week and better than anyone the next.

Sort of a second team, as you always beat the Packers and have a coupe of Bears links.

I don’t particularly have a favourite team these days.
I’ve always sort of followed Dallas, but thought Denver were brilliant in the Elway era.
Kansas City with Andy Reid as coach are great. Will be interesting how it pans out with the extra draft picks from Miami for Tyreek Hill.
I’ve a soft spot for Detroit and Cleveland
Josh Allen could lead Buffalo to the Super Bowl

Never been keen on the Raiders, Washington, NY Giants or Chicago, although I do think Walter Payton is the best ever running back.

Yes Redsox, when did Jim Brown appear at Villa Park?

When I was younger it was all about Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders. I've subsequently heard it said that the Dallas o-line was so good any running back would have been dominant. Not sure how fair that is on Smith but I accept Sanders performed phenomenally on a weaker team. Special mention to Terell Davis, who was untouchable the year the Broncos won their first.

Speaking of the Broncos, doesn't sound a classic last night. Hope there's some TDs when they're at Wembley later this month at least.

He attended a Villa v West Ham game as Randy's guest, apparently.

Yep, Jim Brown was at a game when Randy was owner.

They played a clip montage on the screens and then cut to a close up of him in the Trinity

My clapping and cheering was probably the most demonstrative its ever been

I then had to explain to those around me why this was such an important occasion.

As for best ever running back.....I'm sticking with Brown, although Gale Sayers might be next.

My favourite is Marcus Allen. As I've mentioned before, I doubt that there were many other British kids who had a Marcus Allen jersey in 1983

The correct answer is clearly Walter Payton. Also a much better person than Jim Brown.

When the Bears won the Super Bowl I was in a bit of a catch 22 situation, I wanted New England to win, but Walter Payton to score.
He was clearly devastated that Ditka(?) overlooked him for the Fridge to score.

In fairness, the Patriots game plan in 85 seemed to be solely to stop Payton. But a great shame he didn't score.

Last night's game was eye bleedingly bad. Someone said that the Broncos still have 3 more prime time games 😭
