Well, looks like wild cards will be our only chance for any post season action for the next 7 years.

Lovie Smith looks set to become Head Coach of the Buccaneers as well, best of luck to him.

KC blow it. 8 play off defeats in a row. That is epic raising and dashing of hopes right there.

Looks like the weather for the Packers Niners game is going to be a bit on the chilly side.

Still don't see why a team with a 8-7-1 record is at one against a team with 12-4 record. Makes no sense.

I presume you mean at home.

Yeah it does seem unfair. There are a couple of teams who failed to get a wildcard with a better record than the Packers though. Seattle even won their division with a 7-9 record a couple of years ago, so got a home tie.

The problem is if you were to change it so that the teams with the best 6 records got through from the AFC/NFC then you'd have to do away with the divisions, and the enjoyable rivalries they have fostered.

Well my optimism is pretty much gone after SF first drive. This defence is as pathetic as a Vlaar-less Villa defence.

That problem is even more exaggerated in the NBA this season.

Only the top two teams in the East; Miami and Indiana are really playoff worthy (there are eight teams in the West that have better records than the third team in the East, ie Atlanta). However, eight teams will make the post season from that conference.

Meanwhile, its 5 degrees Fahrenheit in Green Bay for the Niners game

-15 in real money.  ;)

Expected to get colder as game goes on. I remember one of the America's game shows where the players were saying that a game was so cold that the referee's whistles were sticking to their lips.

It looks like the Baseball Ground circa 1972!

When they were saying temperature was 5 degrees I wondered what the fuss was about. Now I realise it's Fahrenheit then fair play to them. Those bleachers must have been cold! Congratulations to the Californian teams anyway for winning away.
