So are the Bears liable to be any good this season?

Depends what you mean when you ask if they'll be any good? They won't win the Superbowl, but it's possible they could get to the play-offs.

It's "Johnny Football" versus Alabamber on Saturday

http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/gametracker/preview/NCAAF_20130914_BAMA@TXAM

A win over 'Bama will set Manziel well on his way to a second straight Heisman Trophy

I'm assuming he's quite good then, mind you there seem to be loads of good Quarter-Backs in the NFL right now.

Cam Newton
Kapernick
That guy at the Seahawks
RG3
Luck

Not to mention Brees, Brady and the Mannings.

Oh and Rogers as well.

"Johnny Football" is most comparable to Russell Wilson (aka "that guy at the Seahawks" but with more flair and a lot less brains.

Newton's not really up to the standard of the other on your list.

Yep, that Manning bloke at Denver probably has a future in the game

Meanwhile, the Patriots continue to win ugly

The joys of being in a Division that's always shite, can play crap and win both games. Colts haven't had great competition in the AFC South over the years either, although the Texans have been better over the last few years and I think the Titans are improving quickly.

The Jag's are still rubbish.

The Washington naming controversy, again.

The call on Washington to change their nickname seems to get bigger every year. Should they change it? Personally, I think they should. If they'd chosen a racist word starting with "N" rather than one starting with "R" there's no way it would've lasted as long as their nickname has, why should it be any different?

If they do change what nickname/logo should they go for?  I think "Washington Warriors" sounds a bit shit, "Warthogs" would be cool but would probably put off Muslim fans!

They are running out of cool-sounding animals. Pythons, Rattlers, Crocs, maybe? I don't know if any of them are native to DC/Maryland though.

If, and it's a big "if", the offensive line can hold up and stop any of our major offensive stars getting injured then maybe. We have a tough division but I fancy us to finish above Minnesota and Detroit (who I think will be much-improved) and nick a wildcard spot.

They could stay as the Redskins if they changed their logo

DC Electrics

Can anyone tell me why none of the bears' players' helmets had the orange 'c' on the side of them when I tuned in yesterday?

Steelers have their star Center (spelling it the American way pains me) out and Tight-End Heath Miller and apparently their back-ups are awful. Beginning to fancy the Bears going 3-0 now....  :)

Their running game has netted less yards than Alex Smith, the Kansas City Chief's QB.

A return to LA for the NFL is being talked about again

Raiders, Rams, Chargers and Jaguars are apparently the teams in play; with probably two moving to LA

One of these days it'll finally happen

They talk about it every year. Could maybe see the Jaguars moving, surely the Chargers and Raiders make quite a bit of money anyway.
