I assumed you were joking too pmarachi.

Quite a few NFL players have spent time in the CFL, like Ricky Williams after his drugs ban and Jeff Garcia.

I know that they have larger endzones than in the NFL too, for some reason to do with kick-off returns I think.

Didn't they do Arena football? Like Terrell Owens?

This isn't on TV over here, but is it shown on ESPN in Canada?

Garcia started his career with Calgary

Ricky played for Toronto

Hey Paul, you should be embarrassed that us Brits are having to educate you about a sport on your own continent.  :D

EDIT - Back in the 1990's, I could be seen at Villa Park in a Toronto Argonauts T-shirt. I wanted to buy another jersey/shirt when I was in Toronto last month but couldn't find any Argonauts gear anywhere.

you know what, the name Toronto Agronauts does sound familiar.

Is it worth a watch? If I were to find it streaming online...

it is worth watching but pick your team wisely, Montreal are the better team in the East while the West is quite open this year, but I have to stick up for the Riders as this is my adopted home now.

I think I will see if Nova Scotia gets an expansion team then "support" them, on the basis that Nova Scotia is full of Plastic Scots, like me.

You could be in for a wait but you never know with the CFL

NCAA bring the hammer down on Penn State but stop short of what's called " the death penalty".

Sky are erroneously reporting that the school is banned from competing for four years, it's actually just a four year post-season (ie Bowl game) ban.

I think the only definite division winner for me will be the Texans this year.

Packers, Patriots and possibly 49ers should be certs but I reckon their divisions will be closer.

I can't see Dolphins making the play-offs.  Despite a nice looking schedule overall, the early road fixtures look tough and could set the tone.

Still no real news on whether Sky will be showing the NFL this season.

Hi All,

There is not currently a deal in place for NFL on Sky Sports, but should one be concluded we would of course announce full details

Thanks,
Anne

Sky won't even say whether or not they're even trying to obtain the rights for 2012.
