Lady Gaga was very good at half time and thankfully kept the politics out of it.

As a Jets fan I now have another reason too hate the Patriots, the Man U of the NFL. Wankers!

She wasn't overtly political but I would suggest the songs chosen were there for a reason.

Unless my ears deceived me, Woody Guthrie's My Land Is Your Land kicked it off. You can barely get more political in the current climate.

Went to bed at half time thinking the Falcons would stroll it and Gaga would be bobbins.  What do I know?

Can't quite believe the Falcons fucked that up. I don't like the Patriots but can't deny it was a thriller. As it usually is when they get there.

Very bastardised version though. She only sang the first and last line, then said a quote about Liberty and Justice for all. If she had sang the Wall verse that would have been overtly political. Then she sang Born this Way. So like I said, I think she chose the songs to say things but not as overtly done as she could have been or in such a way that the people looking out for it would be able to moan about it. I mean there was no Tweet from Donald about how overrated she was.

Unbelievable comeback.
Did Atlanta cock it up, or, did New England just find hyper drive?

It seemed like Atlanta just run out of steam to me.

Gaga was excellent,  too

Definitely an Atlanta cock-up, Nigel.

You don't give Brady a second chance, let alone a third and a fourth.   Ryan should have done anything but taken that sack when they were in field goal range late in the 4th.  That would have won the game.   Also, the third and one early in the fourth on their own 30 when he fumbled.  That had to be a run play, either get the 1st down or punt it away, could not afford to fumble there - that changed the momentum.

I found it an exciting game which is good as I rarely watch American Football in any great detail. The game kept me company whilst tending to the chicken pox kid.

I am hoping that this latest Super Bowl win will mean that Brady (who now has more wins than any other QB and the equal most for any player) and Belichick can now retire.

I avoided the result all day and watched the highlights at 6. At 28-9 down with under 9 mins to go I told my wife who happened to know who'd won that NE had no chance. She knows nothing about the game but it seems nor do I !

Judging by Belichick's rallying if the crowd at the parade, he's not planning to pack it in soon.

Not sure how long the Golden Boy has left on his contract but he might want one more go at least, especially if Gronk is back next season

Potential British-born second round draft pick

http://www.espn.co.uk/nfl/draft2017/story/_/id/18760459/how-texas-jermaine-eluemunor-crossed-ocean-england-nfl-draft

Supposed to be a weak Draft year for Tackles, which may improve his chances.

Of course I still count Andrew Luck as British as he spent quite a few years growing up here.... :-)
