He's part of a team that's 3rd in the form table since November.

I expected Bailey to be a top player based on his reputation and his dad shouting his mouth off.

He's no better than El Ghazi.

Imagine Unai with El Ghazi. 20 goals a season I bet.

Bailey is absolutely one of the main players to upgrade upon this summer, that position is a clear weak link as he and Traore aren't anywhere near good enough for a team challenging for Europe, in my opinion. Every other position I think we have at least one decent player (although I'm not Cash's biggest fan so I'd want an RB).

Who knows with Bailey. He might have a great summer and come back on fire next season.

Doesn't do enough for me, but like Drummond said, he'd be hugely useful if we qualify for Europe.

I can see him do well as a bit of a 'flat-track bully' if we make Europe. With more time and space, he'll be more confident and hopefully replicate some of the Bundesliga form. I'd rather try to move Traore on, and get a first choice replacement in. Don't see Traore improving too much further, but Bailey might. Give him one more year as a squad option and then cut our losses if need be.

I think you are right, El Ghazi would have improved massively under Unai.

It's a good point about El Ghazi under Emery.

I always thought his biggest problem was his decision making. He always took the option to shoot rather than set someone else up, so his goals were good but his assists were poor. I think with proper coaching his decision making would have improved and he'd have learned when to shoot and when to pass. His goals may have reduced a little, but his assists would have increased by a greater amount.

Dependent on how Sunday goes & the summer leads to Olsen being binned for a proper goalkeeper there is a realistic prospect of 20+ extra games next season so if that happens we will need 3/4 squad filler players to go alongside 3/4 big signings…Perez wouldn’t be one I’d look at personally as I actually think he is a downgrade on Traore let alone Bailey…however forwards across the line are the priority.

Would like a centre forward with a bit of size, physicality to compliment Watkins, Archer and Duran.

Wide forwards / #10’s are also needed, Bailey and Buendia as squad options sure, throw down the gauntlet to them both to be better…Bailey is anonymous way too often, Buendia doesn’t hide but he is dispossessed far far too easily too often.  Hopefully we are able to give Unai the options wide that he wants.  Traore and Coutinho to depart.

El Ghazi was a very limited footballer, lacked awareness and never passed the ball.
I doubt even Emery could do much with that.
I also think Bailey will be here next season.

He's part of a team that's 3rd in the form table since November.

But by that logic none of them need replacing / could be improved on.

Some people thinking that we are getting in 4 or 5 first team level will be dissaponted.
It’s evolution not revolution.
I think it will be 2 or 3.

We need strength in depth, and we need improvements to get us finishing higher with (hopefully) more games in all the cup competitions.

I just don't think he's as bad as people are making out. He has a job and whilst much doesn't work, he also occupies the opposition a lot too.

Bailey has had a couple of assists over recent games and his attacking play has clearly benefited from the level of coaching he has received. It’s also seen him start to trust his right foot a little more meaning he’s less easy to nullify. Still infuriates at times but is better player now than when Unai arrived.

The most important thing this summer is to move Bailey out.

It really isn't. He may not be consistent in his final product but he causes teams all sorts of issues. If we qualify for Europe he'll be hugely useful.

He's easily our worst player. If we're not going to upgrade Bailey as a start, who are we?

It's one goal and two assists since Christmas. A piss poor return, frankly.
