Winger Chisom Afoka looks good. Strong tall and good feet

Charlie lutz scored a very neat hat trick.

Our number 5 (sorry not sure of his name) also impressed me

Aaron O'Reilly according to the team sheet I saw. I've heard he's a decent prospect but Smith alongside him is more highly rated I think.

I've heard good things about Kyrie Pierre who was the 7 last night but no idea how we got on.

Afoka is an interesting one, he's out of contract in the summer and will be 20 this year so I think he might be one that gets released.

Swinkels out for up to 9-12 months having torn his ACL.

Poor fucker, horrible injury at any time but to happen when Emery has had him training with the seniors is awful for him.

On another subject, does anyone know what's happened to Tommy O'Reilly?

Played brilliantly earlier in the season, UA took him to Dubai for the re-start warm-up games and I've seen nothing of him since.

Incoming?

Several sites carrying the story.

It would make up for the disappointment of not signing Aiden McGeady Apparently he's a midfielder and it's heartening that we seem to be trying to go about it the right way.

Trying - and actually - doing things the right way  might be more exoensive and initially mean we miss our on sond orisorcrs.

But if would be nnice  to think that it will pay dividends long term if it means that approaches by Villa are seen to be more acceptable and indeed honourable than those by other clubs, and thus put us at the front of the queue in the future

We want to build a reputation as a club that not only pays a fair price when it comes to signing young playerd  but acts properly as well.
