I think its possibly a generational thing but younger fans don't get anywhere near as misty-eyed about the cups as older fans do - the thought of playing weakened sides in FA Cup quarterfinals in front of half-full stadiums and reduced ticket prices would have been rightly unthinkable back in the day. No-one will EVER tell me the game is the better for it.

I think the FA Cup is easier to win now. The Sky 6 have got lots more on their plate in the latter stages of the FA Cup.

Still, our year this year etc.
