Buendia wasn't dropped. He was unavailable for the Chelsea game and has been unable to reclaim his starting place yet due to the performance of others.

Bailey vs traore in a race would be amazin to watch

I'd probably beat both of them at the moment, given their injuries.

Is Traore that quick? I’d imagine Bailey would easily beat him

I assume he means Adama not Bert. I’d go with Leon in that race TBH although he would most likely pull something before completing it.

Dropped or not - we aren't picking our £33m record signing as a starter.

Bailey hasn't signed for us to be a wing back.

Just play him off Watkins if we stick with 3-5-2 (Ings hasn't scored since August 21st after all) or just switch to 4-3-3 and play him on the right.

No he hasn't but he came on for a wing back and just played as a winger, which is what I'm really suggesting.

It's probably worth trying if we're just playing a park the bus type game v a Burnley but I wouldn't risk it v say Wolves given they've had some really good counter attack moves this season with likes of Adama and Trincao.

Trying to remember the chain of events v Everton but basically they took off Rondon so they didn't really have a focal point upfront and couldn't hold the ball and they also gave up with the two quick goals so just think it's a different situation to starting game v dangerous counter attack team as the weekend will be (hopefully Leon can be on the bench and we have another excellent cameo and then he starts at Arsenal).

Just hope it's not a case of going through the season with DS not really wanting to drop Ings due to the pricetag. He dosen't really look like scoring currently and front 3 of say Bailey-Watkins-Traore would be very exciting to watch and potential nightmare for defences.

Again this isn't how I want us to play, it's just something I'd like to see if we continue with 3 at the back because, whilst I like Targett a lot, he's absolutely a full back and not a wing back (unlike Cash who works as both). The Everton game showed that Targett was willing to get forward and put the effort in but it's just not his game to be the main attacking outlet on that side, he needs a player in front of him to open up the space for him to be effective.

Not for the first time, I agree.

Give it a few weeks and Man City won't be picking their £100m record signing as a starter...

Baileys out superb. More dean smith waffle. I thought he be back after international window? It really frustrates me how they always down play the injuries

Smith said they'd look at Bailey after the International break & decide then.

Which is exactly what they've done & they've decided he's not ready.

It's a disappointment but it is what it is.

Bailey pulling his quad scoring is one of the great football injuries, like Dave Beasant dropping a salad cream bottle on his foot or Alex Stepney dislocating his jaw shouting at his defence.

Vassell drilling his toenail is another.
