The thing is he's a born winner.  A backs to the wall battle where he didn't need to get forward much suited him down to the ground and he absolutely stood up to be counted.  He did what he was paid to do yesterday.  I'm not sure about him starting a few games on the bounce though, I'd prefer KKH against more defensive teams.

Welcome back, F-V. I know you've always been a big fan of Ashley Young. I was unconvinced about the need to bring him back but he has been excellent when called upon this season and that was a superb goal.

I know Ash pissed a few off when at Man Utd, but he was brilliant for us, gave us four-and-a-half seasons, left in a dignified way, and has given his all since coming back.

To still be playing at this level at his age is a reflection of his professionalism and commitment.

Apart from Olof, who was here already, I'd say Ash and Big John are my favourites from the O'Neill years. They both genuinely care about the club, in my opinion.
