How would it be undetected?

Yup all for the best, I just think its was unfair on others having to play with affected squads.

They test on the day of the game I think so I probably went OTT there.

Meant more to say like Eamonn did if we had an outbreak in squad we'd want game off rather than having to throw half a youth team in on minimal training together.

It's the right decision even if in the short term it complicates things for us just a little more.

Public Health England have closed their training ground. They can't train safely.

If we were to trey and insist on continuing we'd rightly be seen as a bunch of bastards. This is putting the safety of all concerned first, which is exactly the right thing to do. It's a shame, and means we'll have another game to catch up, however, perhaps we'll be able to strengthen in January before we do, or that Wesley will be back along with others and we'll be better for it.

There's clearly an issue up there, though it's impossible to know exactly how it happened. If this was us, I'd like to think everyone would be supportive. Our statement is what I'd expect it to be. We are a class-act.

Good for both.  Means Ross might be back and only miss the one game.

Would have been good to play a weakened team, but still under the circumstances I think it's reasonably.

Stuffs up my fantasy team though.

Shame, but we can play it in March or April along with the Man shitty game and field our two new £40m signings ;)

I  am starting to come to to the same conclusion of a lot of our fans on social media that Newcastle  should of either been made to play or forfeit the game They are the only team to fail to stop the virus on a  big scale .In this shortened season we now have to somehow fit in two matches ,they are already struggling to rearrange the Man City game as it is .

Or they could have been unlucky. How can you make them play when you don't know who has or hasn't got the virus? I'm surprised they haven't all been told to isolate for 14 days to be honest.

It is what it is. Nothing to get angry about here I don't think.

We could be well ensconced in the bottom half of the table before our next game, Wolves away, a very, very difficult game.
Losing too many games, albeit playing well, is going to haunt us going into the Christmas period.

Newcastle should be made to forfeit this.

it's certainly the right thing to do - no point in risk.

They're lucky it's us they were due to play and not one of the teams that has European fixtures. It should be relatively straight forward to re-arrange for both. It sets a precedent now.
