Ramsey is going to become the new Clark(e).

Nope. Davis already took that spot, or should I say Davies.

With Samatta going it seems, I can’t see Ollie starting and being risked.
Play Davis, fresh with his new contract and have Watkins on the bench.

I think this will be tougher than we think and we’ll grind out a 2-1 win.

I’d like to see a virtual full strength team for this - we were clearly rusty Monday and it’s too early to start meaning about too many games.

I would give Steer an outing (he deserves it) and I’d like to see Freddie tried on the left in place Targett (but Smith won’t so wishful thinking). Bring Traore in for Trez. That’s the only change I’d make.

It will be a tough game. If we play the team we played against Burton, I think it’s 50/50

I’d like to see him play a strong team as Bristol are decent at home and this could be the proverbial banana skin. However, rusty on Monday or not, I don’t see him playing a lot of first teamsters with sheff 3 days earlier and Fulham in 4 days.

Steer
Elmo (don’t think we’ll see Guilbert again)
Taylor
Hause
Mings (our of necessity)
Nakamba
Ramsey
Lansbury
Traore
Davis
El Ghazi

I wouldn't be surprised to see a significantly changed team tomorrow night.

I'd probably give McGinn a run out, as he looked like he most needed minutes, and Traore 50-60 mins to get him up to speed as I'd like to see him start and leave Joe Bryan on his arse at the weekend.

Other than that, I don't think it is worth risking anyone. We had a good run in this competition last year, but with the absolutely bonkers schedule over the next few months, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we went out after giving some fringe players minutes, and avoided as much as possible this 3-games-in-8-days scenario for the first part of the season. Would be good to see Davis have a start leading the line, see Ramsey again, even maybe Louie Barry.

The one thing that puzzles me is this. We started a week later in the league so, it’s being said we are rusty. On the other hand, when there are 3 games in an 8 day period, we are burning ourselves out. Seems to be a problem either way. Now, if someone tells me it’s because we don’t want to risk injuries, I could live with that but, again, injuries can occur particularly if someone is not match fit. My head’s hurting trying to figure out this dilemma!!

I would not involve more than 6 from the team to play Fulham and rotate those.

Think Brizzle are doing okay in the League, so they may rest a few first teamers

Nathan Baker (formerly of this parish) is out crocked until at least Christmas, which rules out the chance of an own goal or penalty for old times sake.
