They seem to think on SHA that Carla Ward is heading to us which is obviously going down well with them.

Iwabuchi rocks, she should be our Grealish.

And apparently on her way to Arsenal.

"Apparently", according to The S*n based on praise from the Arsenal manager who is leaving the club. It would be nice if we could have one thread where fans aren't trying to sell our best players!

Joe Montemurro confirms Arsenal close to Mana Iwabuchi deal

That's annoying.

That would be hugely shit. Not just because we would be losing our best player but because it would mean The Sun were right. ☹

How long was the contract that she signed?

Don't know. This is the piece from when she signed last Christmas time. Not even a hint https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2020/december/Mana-Iwabuchi-signs-for-Villa-Women-/

Needed some competitive game time against decent opposition before the Olympics, maybe?

You could be right, though they might end up being cancelled, if the rumours are to be believed.

Surely she was getting competitive football already? It was good enough for before every other major tournament she's played at. Hope we fight tooth and nail to keep her and these rumours are just wishful thinking by Arsenal fans.

Just seen seven players let go and all of the management went earlier - is there something going on or just normal end of year churn?
