No bookmakers are even offering odds on him for the Golden Boot. They aren't stupid, they know he's got it in the bag.

A disappointing night, feels like a loss to me.

Yes, we may technically have won, but only 3-0 compared to our 5-1 win at olden days Fulham (Norwich) means celebrations are very much on hold.

Disappointed that Konsa failed to find the net and now looks like he might struggle to even get 20 goals let alone the 40 that was within his sights just a week ago.

And, look at The Drummond Method! We've gone from runaway title winners to scraping third place in the space of seven days.

Poor show, Villa. Need to thrash Liverpool to get back on track. Make it so.

This thread is a way to bring you down with a bump! I was working out that we now need 32 from 36, which is just less PPG than 35 from 38 we got last year, but actually we are only really 2 points better off. Ah well.

On to Liverpool.

Although having two centre halves contributing nearly 20 goals a season almost makes up for Konsa's dramatic loss of goalscoring form!

I suppose I would probably settle for Grealish, Hourihane, Mings and Konsa scoring 76 goals between them.

Ha, brilliant! Keep up the good work on both swingometer and commentary.

Morning all!

Like most on here I'm sure, I'm very disappointed today. Having averaged 0.00 goals against per game heading into yesterday's match, we looked on course to become the first team to go all season without conceding a goal, but those hopes now lie in tatters.

The other cause for concern is that Ezri Konsa's worrying goal drought continues. Still, at least Ollie Watkins and Jack Grealish are now expected to score 76 between them so will have spared his blushes somewhat.

More positively, we are back to being Drummond Method Champions, and nice to see the league now recognises that Jack Grealish is its best player. About time.

Drummond's method is now looking a bit pessimistic.

Konsa needs dropping, as much for his own sake as the team's. Not only has he completely lost his form in front of goal, his defensive record took a hammering last night!

I can only imagine how low his confidence must be at the moment. He's just lucky there were no fans in Villa Park last night...

Well, here we are again after another disappointing day for the multitude of Swing-o-Meter fans.

Okay, yes, we move to four wins out of four, and won one-nil at a ground that saw a four-nil defeat last season.

But the stats show some worrying trends that I'm sure give us all cause for concern.

Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins are now averaging less than a goal a game. Even with me being incredibly generous and rounding up a half goal for them, they still both look like failing to even get to thirty goals this season. Very disappointing. And don't even get me started on Ezri Konsa's goalscoring "form".

Now, we move on to the Drummond Method total. 111. What the fuck are they playing it? Do our players not watch cricket? Surely they know 111 is unlucky? Idiots.

Still, the main issue is, clearly, the dizzying decline of a certain Mr J. Grealish. From being ranked as the best player in the league, he is now only best equal. To make matters worse, just look at the the absolute jokers that are level with him. One, Harry Kane, plays for a team that just blew a three goal lead. The other, Sergio Mane, couldn't even get on the bench for a team that lost SEVEN-TWO!

If Grealish can't even get ahead of jobbers like these it is no wonder many Villa fans rue the day we turned down Tottenham's generous offer of £2 million plus a nearly complete set of "Shoot!" magazine league ladders from the 1972/73 season.

His plummeting form probably explains the unexpected email I received this morning from someone called "PizzaMan70": "LOLZ GREALISH IS SHIT MASON4EVA!!!". I've no idea who Mason is, but Eva sounds a lucky girl.

Through the gloom, there is at least some good news, as John McGinn remains on course to average an assist per game. So well done him. The rest of you... must try harder.

Cd I am rather concerned that you have glossed over the fact that our much lauded goalkeeper only managed two saves all match.
