A bullet proof manager, no matter how we play or how the results are, a squad with no decent striker, five decent players,( Jack, Mings, Super John, Heaton and Reina), two of which are poxy keepers. I’m sorry, and kudos to you, but how exactly do people think we’ll stay up?
And who, other than those I’ve named, are giving you that hope?

West Ham, Watford and Norwich, all of who are below us.

Sorry Dave but I think, and I don’t know why, West Ham will get out of it somehow.

Maybe they will. Maybe Bournemouth, or Brighton, or Palace, will get dragged back into it. At this stage nothing is certain, which is why it's so annoying to see so many of our supporters saying we're already down when we're nothing of the sort.

West Ham invested in David Moyes to get them out of this. They are every bit as fucked as us. My concern is more Watford than West Ham for that last spot.

Is that some kind of achievement? The only reason we are not in bottom 3 is luck not because of smith.

He cant hide forever results have to improve

No, the reason we are not in the bottom 3 is because we have more points than the bottom 3, i.e. our results have been (just) better than theirs. Nothing to do with luck good or bad, any more than it would be if we were in the bottom 3.

As for the 'hiding', how has he been hiding exactly?

It's not an achievement, or luck, it's a fact. Or, if you prefer, FACT.

Smith is just a half soaked manager who is out of his depth in this league.

Picking Drunkwaster ahead of Nakamba shows how stupid he is.

What did nakamba do after he came on to justify that ?

More than Drunkwaster did. It's an embarrassment that he gets picked.

You’ve got to have hope or what’s the point? I had hope when we last got relegated and we were a much much worse team than we are now. Listing those players is also ignoring the fact that both full backs, Konsa, Luiz, el ghazi, Samatta all played well today and have generally been playing better since the turn of the year.

I get huge disappointment, I’m feeling it massively, but we’re not even in the bottom 3 never mind cut adrift like Norwich, so I don’t get people having us relegated with 3 months to go.

The fixtures only get harder from here, for the most part.

Desperately unlucky not to get all 3 points never mind 1. But we missed our chances and one sloppy error gifts them the points. Frustrating but that was the best we’ve played in weeks.

I thought Drinkwater played ok. Made mistakes early on, probably no more than say luiz over the course of the game, after that he was fine and at least he tries hard. He’s a poor replacement for SJM but that’s not his fault.

Honestly, I know it’s disappointing to lose in the way we did, but there is some absolute fucking shit being written on here. If you’re that convinced that everything is rubbish, we’re shit and definitely going down then don’t bother watching anymore.

The game I was at we should have been 2 or 3 up before they scored, only an unbelievable save from their keeper and a pass from Jack when he should have shot kept them in it. We had more possession, more corners and more shots, and in the end we’re undone by a dodgy penalty and a mistake from a defender starting his first game in months.  Unfortunately it’s a tough league, and sometimes these things go against you.

What’s pissing me off more than anything else though is this attitude that Smith is useless and we have got a team that is not up to it. Have you seen us in the last 10 years? Do you remember what we looked like a little over 12 months ago? This team, by and large, is full of young players getting a full season at this level for the first time and they are trying their bollocks off - just look at the previous 2 home games for evidence. They are going to get things wrong, but they will also get better together the longer they have.
