Massive win!, as others have said if they did not waste so much time with throw ins and goal kicks, maybe there would not have been so much injury time?

First half, I thought both sides were poor, but in the second half we seemed to up our game - Marvelous for me was MOTM.

Huge win for us and in the end well deserved. I didn't think we were that bad in the first half, it wasn't for the lack of trying anyway, the quality just wasn't there when we needed it. Much better second half and we got what we deserved.

And a big shout out for Matt Targett who was excellent tonight (last night).
He's taken some criticism this season so well done lad.
Agreed he was excellent.

The ref doesn’t add time on for what they were doing, hence it being called time wasting. So would have made no difference.
I think it’s 30 seconds added per substitution, so, there’s 3 minutes

A huge 3 points, well done Villa!
There's nothing better than a sh-tfest of a team losing out to a last minute winner!
Ref was awful all night.
Loved Luiz's p-sstake of Deeney after he scored. Quality!
Big shout outs to Nakamba and Targett who were brilliant throughout. Drinkwater didn't have a bad game either but the right substitution was made.
Well done Vassilev on your home debut. That said with one striker in, we now need to go and get at least one more!!
Oh btw f-ck off Deeney you massive bellend!
UTV!!

worth the agony of a 29 mile two hour drive. Brilliant result. Now please Villa get some forwards in.

A truly great night at Villa Park. We needed that win desperately and got it in the best possible fashion. But as someone else pointed out, haD it been a draw I’d still be very pleased with the overall performance. There was great desire and determination from everyone of the players which is what we want and haven’t always had So far. This massive result should now give us the impetus to go into every game looking for a positive result. Very pleased with Marvellous, he had a great game. Jack too but he always does.

Everyone has picked up on the ref’s inability to curb the time wasting which he should have sorted but didn’t. One thing Which hasn’t been mentioned is how he allowed their players time and time again to stand in front of the ball when we had a free kick. Is this no longer a bookable offence?

I don’t mind Deeney’s celebration as we’d all be similar in the same circumstances. He’s a handful even if he’s not contributing that much. I’d love his type up front for us.

Such a range of emotions last night, at 1-0 down thinking we've got one foot in the championship, huge relief at getting the equaliser and finally the last gasp winner and the feeling that gives you, so very happy.

Watford do show, if you have someone up front who is a hand full and knows where the back of the net is, it always give you a chance no matter how bang average you are.

That’s exactly how we stayed up so long with bent/benteke.

Haven’t see the match, so can’t comment on it, but fantastic result to come back from 1 down. West Ham have 2 in hand, so we could be back to 17th soon. But the main thing is the 3 points and staying in the fight.

It's a huge momentum shift with 3 points instead of 1, or heaven forefend, a loss. I wasn't relishing the game next week in the Cup but now can't wait, with the optimism of last night, a new striker (perhaps another new player as well??) it should be a raucous atmosphere under the lights. Whatever the result, we should go to the South Coast in good heart.
My only reservation is the way we start so caustiously and pedestrian at home, I would prefer us to take the game to teams rather than have to come from behind. At HT a win looked unlikely, not just from the doom chamber of the match thread (to which I actively contributed before anyone gets all pissy) but on WM, and across other sections of the media, we weren't awful but weren't quite at the races and given our perilous position it was looking bleak. But enormous credit to the players and management to pull it around, it's not the way I'd like to win every game but if we prevail this season, I'll put up with it.
