Pearson and Deeney got what they deserved fuck all.

If they'd spent less time pissing about on free kicks, throw ins and substitutions, the game would have been over well before Konsa put the ball in the onion bag for the winner.

spot on

i took my young daughter tonight shes only been to a few games and she was asking why we were booing,
i told her it was because Watford were wasting time

and this was BEFORE they scored
i was quite surprised to see a Pearson side do that as i didn't think he was quite as bad as Pulis, Allardyce etc but obviously not
that's why i never advocate those sort of managers for Villa no matter how bad it gets although i've seen a new side to Pearson tonight i never knew he had

on Deeney,
my unpopular opinion is i don't mind him giving it back
he hates us we hate him, he's a bluenose and that's the way it is

we got the last laugh tonight and it was a beautiful thing

Agreed on Deeney, John. I wasn't there but I can imagine that he would've been getting plenty of clog from the Holte. Only fair that he gets to give some back at a time like that.

Even fairer that he was fucked off back to Borehamwood with a flea in his ear, fuck all points  and a relegation to worry about.

Best performance for a while and would have said the same even without the last minute winner. Great effort and character from all the players. I just love last minute winners. Always say to my son not to celebrate too soon.....yes Mr Deeney, I’m looking at you

He wasn’t really getting any stick beforehand. Because he plays for Watford. And it’s a struggle getting worked up about Watford, unless you are a Wolves supporter desperate for a rivalry for somebody, anybody...

He gave loads of shit to the Holte the first time he scored against us, before he had got any stick and, I reckon, before a high percentage of Villa fans in attendance even knew he was Blose.

Then again, I don't mind it when Joe Lolley winds up all three Blose fans after scoring against them, so I'm not going to get too upset about it.

We won, he didn't. 🙂

Maybe drowning out any atmosphere with shit music is not the best way to get the crowd or team up for it. Hause was awful, i thought Drinky did ok but it was a good substitution.
What a horrible team Watford are and assisted by an insipid referee.
They blew it big time and it proves how difficult momentum is to get back when you have given it away.
One team tried to play football and deserved the 3 points.
Jack immense.

Just fucking WOW! Fantastic night with Villa Park rocking under the lights. The noise when that winner went in was just phenomenal. Brilliant at the end as 38,000 people chanted 'Deeney, Deeny, what's the score?' Serves him right for doing the same as that scrote Vardy giving it the Billy Big Bollocks in front of the Holte after scoring. Great as well that we scored with the last kick of the game with all the time added on for their incessant time wasting. Still buzzing!

I (like many I guess) took a nice video of that chant mid sweet Caroline in the Lower Holte  - I guess I have to put in on you tube to get it on here? Also still buzzing after a relatively enjoyable journey home, must get to bed!!!

I can't speak for anyone else there tonight , but that goal was, will and always will be Konsa's , as much as I love Mings.

And a big shout out for Matt Targett who was excellent tonight (last night).
He's taken some criticism this season so well done lad.

Back in my digs in York. I'd brung me stuff to go footie with me, but this morning informed my brother that I wasn't going to go. Then I had a huge change of mind at about half eleven. I'm so glad I did, that was superb.
The full gamut, delight, despair, hope, joy, anxiety, desperation, ecstasy, culminating in the perfect way to win a game. We owe Watford a huge debt of gratitude, were it not for their spectacular petty time-wasting, we'd not have had quite the dramatic finale. Fttwf.

Oh and to all you negative H&V match thread posters, I am so glad your doom and gloom didn’t drag the team down 🤔
Are you suggesting your positivity affected the result in our favour?

You just need to believe Hilts 💪

Let's be honest, it was poor, it was like a Championship match.

I’ll happily live in poverty then 👍

Lovely to see the passion and togetherness of the players is still there. That is crucial.

Great to win in the last minute.

Buzzing after that. Never liked Pearson i've always thought he's a total bell end. His team reflected him perfectly tonight. Niggly snidey dirty cheating bastards.
And for those having a go at people for their match thread comments leave it out will you? The match thread is for those who can't make the game to have their say. Some of our players we're awful at times tonight. Saying so on here isn't going to affect the game. We all wanted them to turn it around and thankfully they did but this "i"m a better fan than you because blah blah blah" is a needless pop at fellow fans.

Well said.

Seconded. I'll say what I want to, thank you very much. It's a match thread and a place to comment and rant. Some of the play and players were crap at times, but in the end, we won. There were also some.decent passages of play. Three points, thank you very much, fuck off Pearson and Deeney.
